Switching off Orange answerphone?

Hi. Does anyone know how to switch off Orange answer phone? When I was on o2 I remember being able to do a 'code' so to speak on the handset and hit call and it de-activated it, then the same to re-activate it. I'm going to America in the morning and as far as I can remember, if people call and your voicemail picks up, you're still charged for receiving a call. Does this sound correct and can anyone tell me can I disable voicemail using my iPhone 4?

Thanks

Dave

On Orange you generally have to give them a call.

You can try it via code ##002# followed by call - This should do it but is unlikely on Orange.

you have to ring up 150, I had to do it this way.
