T-Mobile Network Issues
Is anyone else having network problems on T-Mobile today? I'm in the Glasgow area and my Blackberry keeps dropping calls and its taking forever to send SMS messages.

Always having problems on T-mobile! Most people can use theirs in the subway trains but apparently mine is incompatible with the new network down there! Well I get my new smartphone next week... Nokia Nuron

Hi,
I just noticed this thread and thought I would post a reply to it. I'm currently on the Virgin network (which I'm told runs through the T-mobile network) and have been getting no signal since Friday evening. I contacted Virgin and was told that they were carrying out work in my post code area. I've noticed I get a loss of signal around 8AM and then a return of service around 4PM. This is a nightmare because I can't make any calls or send any messages. A friend of mine is on T-mobile and has the same problem as me. I've even tried swapping sims and handsets. I'm starting to wonder if I made a mistake signing with Virgin. At the moment I'm really not happy with the service and will be contacting Virgin to get a discount on my upcoming bill. |

Hi Daza
Its possible that its a result of the network merger between t-mobile and orange, since I rebooted my phone this morning the network issues have gone and I seem to be getting a better signal than normal. Although it sounds like you had more severe network problems than I did. |

I just spoke to Virgin on the phone and was told told that the work is delayed and would take longer then the quoted 72 hours.
I then requested that I wanted a discount on the upcoming bill and was told they couldn't offer it for loss of service as stated in the T&C of the contract. The customer service department were unhelpful and couldn't offer any further information. |

They never guaranteed you a 100% uninterrupted service, there will be issues from time to time where for a day or 2 upgrades may happen, also the service is still available everywhere else, it's just a temporary issue in your immediate vicinity.
