Survivor 2010: New Who - Companions and Notable Characters Round Fourteen
Rita's Kabin
05-10-2010
Apologies for the delay but things have been rather hectic here recently. Anyway....

Thanks to everyone who voted in Round Thirteen

If you haven't played a Survivor game before and would like to join in it's all very easy. The idea is that, round by round you nominate your least favourite characters for eviction and the ones with the most votes are eliminated from the game.

The game then, is all about what you think of the characters that you can vote for. You should not consider how good the episode or episodes that the characters appear in were, just how much you like or dislike the character in question.

Votes can be posted on this thread or sent to me via PM. If you're going away or are unable to vote for any other reason you can always PM me a list of characters that you'd like to evict in order of preference.

You can also send your votes into the following round automatically. Just type "auto" with your choices & your choices will automatically be carried forward into the following round(s).

So it's on with the results...

In first place with votes from 47.06% is CAL whilst we have a four way tie in second place with the following all being nominated by 35.29% of you:-

+ Lynda Moss
+ Mr. Jefferson
+ Professor Hobbes
+ Bracewell

The "Play Your Cards Right" Bit

This time around you have Doctor Constantine to think about. He was in 21st place last time. So, what do you think - higher or lower this time around?

Back in the Round Eleven tiebreaker Gutted Girl picked Lynda Moss as the person for you to consider whilst I gave you Mr. Jefferson to ruminate on in Round Twelve. Both of them have been evicted now with Lynda Moss crashing 22 places down the chart whilst Mr. Jefferson moves up one place from 43= to 42=. This is what the results board looks like now.

Results Board:

01=) KrisHayward (5/6)
01=) Muttley76 (5/6)
01=) Verence (5/6)

04=) Gogfumble (4/5)
04=) Gutted Girl (4/5)

06) Syramu (4/6)

07=) Clever Chick (3/4)
07=) Sattrega (3/4)

09=) Dave The Scot (3/5)
09=) Fezzes And Ties (3/5)

11) Solgang (2/3)

12) Crazyazz7 (2/4)

13) Tigger-Roo (2/5)

14) Eowyn_W (1/1)

15) Miss_Qwerty (0/1)

16) Tumpy (0/2)

The first figure is your current score and the second the number of games you have played whose results have been announced.

The Prediction Games

None of the evicted characters were predicted for a Top Ten placing by any of you so the first leaderboard remains unchanged....

CAL and Lynda with a Y

Oh well. Mr Jefferson is gone, so my choices are now;

Ood Sigma
K9 (School Reunion)
Yvonne Hartman (Army of Ghosts/Doomsday)
Agatha Christie (The Unicorn and the Wasp)
Malcolm Taylor (Planet of the Dead)
Craig (The Lodger)

I think Dr Constantine will be lower.

Mr Jefferson...with honours!

I think Mr Jefferson is one of the most noble characters to appear in nu who. I feel he is under rated as a character actually, probably because of being part of a large ensemble cast. Anyway, he remains one of my favorite supporting characters, and I am pleased he moved up, albeit only a fraction.

Anyway, good round for me other than that! Sickly sweet Lynda with a Y going is especially good - she was much too high last year!

Old votes:
Mickey Smith (Noel Smith)
The Lodger: Sophie (Daisy Haggard)
Jackie Tyler (Camille Coduri)

New votes:

The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit: Ida Scott (Claire Rushbrook) - rather under developed after a promising start
The Girl In The Fireplace: Reinette (Sophia Myles) - not actually all that interesting a character really, which is odd.
The Unquiet Dead: Gwyneth (Eve Myles) - sweet character, but not that memorable if it weren't for the Gwen factor.

Victor Meldrew for the top 20 this year i think, albeit only just.
