Hi
After trawling loads of threads I have not come across a solution to the scrambled message and then the system completely freezes so you have to turn it off at the back.
It only happens on recordings so I get frustrated not being able to watch what I missed.
Anyone know the solution????

If you don't have a lot of recordings you want to keep hold of, I would advise formatting the disc (Menu>Record>HDD Control) and this may cure the problem, which sounds similar to problems I've had (see my previous threads).

I've not tried formatting yet, because I have stuff I want to keep, and my problems have generally cured themselves after a few days or weeks.

Or, if you've only recently bought the thing, I would take it back, as it is clearly faulty.

Thanks I have already formatted the disc & done the update.
Rang humax today and they said they will send me a replacement as it's clearly faulty
