Hi all ! pt 23 ?

I know it's never fun in the 'in-between' album stages but I am very excited about all this. The list of writers, Larry's tweets, Leona on her stronger sound and that's before we have the bonus treat of reliving the tour NEXT MONTH!

Feeling very confident in what we can expect from camp Lewis in 2011.

Get you with your avatar Mr Reporter! Show off.

I'm also feeling very confident about the next era. It certainly sounds like they know what needs to be done to make it a success. The music definitely sounds like the direction she should be heading which is the most important.

Great news about the album coming earlier. I'm starting to get excited about the artwork now.

Ooh new part!

Yeah I agree usually I hate this bit where we're just waiting, but it really does feel like they're going to go all out for this next era and the world (not the fans because we've already seen it) will get a chance to see a 'new' confident Leona.

I'm really glad that J seem to be taking control and from the list of collaborators (I will repost that here in a sec) it looks like their taking her to a more R&B sound hopefully with a bit of edge.

I do hope they don't wait until the X Factor US to relaunch her in America, I think that would be a mistake she should have at least one more hit there first so that she is seen as a succes story. Her performance on there should be seen as way to give her album sales a boost rather than to launch her album sales.

Lol I had no idea I had one! It did just make me squeee!

Absolutely agree with what you add. I think, with Echo, we as fans were treated to a stunning LP, but this time we will not only get that - but one with meaningful AND commercial tracks!

Yup I still adore Echo and I think it will always be her little baby. I always want her to evolve though with every album and this sounds like a great direction for album #3.

I hope we get another great TV ad for the tour DVD. That's one thing Syco hasn't disappointed in. I adore all three TV ads she has had so far.

Spirit (The BL instrumental sounds stunning without the lyrics until that huge note. Loved it.)

Spirit Deluxe (Great compilation of her hits and our first look at the Run video. Memories. )

Echo (Genius to start with that "happppppyyyyy" note acapella. She looks stunning in the mask and by the legend that is the tree. )

I think if J really push the album and get a sound they like (this album might be more USA friendly than UK friendly) then they will have something to work with. I wouldn't say Leona is now unknown in the USA but she does need to work on building up her profile again. That's why I think she will launch a single in the USA first, if that's what J want that's what they will get. I really don't think we will see the half-hearted nonsense we got with Echo, they will have Leona on a big tour (which may well be why the first single is to be launched early in 2011) of the radio stations and TV shows.

As I have mentioned before, one of the main reasons very few British acts really crack the USA is the sheer amount of time promoting and touring you have to do there, they will have Leona on the road for weeks, it's possible she might hop back and forward to the UK but as we know her voice often suffers after flying.

It wouldn't bother me if the UK came second this time around, it would simply show how important the USA is to her and her labels.

I was listening to all of Leona's X Factor performances yesterday. I still love them the same as I did 4 years ago. A number of the songs she sung on that show I didn't/wouldn't normally like, but I love them when she sings it. Every time I hear the originals or hear people sing them on X Factor they all pale in comparison. She's brilliant.

Thanks.

Like that she still seems clear about doing things her way and that she is still "song based" even when going for a different sound. Also, good how she insists on maintaining her privacy. Excited that first single so soon.

Thanks for scanning it Aidan.

Gosh all this drama makes me so glad that Leona has already won the X Factor and is well into a succesful career.

I would hate to actually genuinely care for a contestant in this year's hot mess of a competition....right now I'm loving the sheer drama and OTT reactions (everyone's gone mad) but if Leona was in it now I don't think I could take it.

I'm so entertained by the madness of the whole thing...but every so often I'll blast a track from Echo or Spirit, watch some youtube videos from the tour, flick through Dreams, or relive memorable performances....content in the knowledge that Leona is far far away from this disaster!
