I agree it's usually important, but
not in this context. You cannot say that Natalie has any certainty about making the final, she could be voted off this Saturday for all she or anyone else knows, therefore it doesn't make a jot of difference whether she says 'I'm going to be in the final' or 'I really, really want to get to the final'. The end result is the same - she doesn't know whether she will be in the final or not, so all she is doing is expressing an aspiration in different language to what another pro used. And it'd be frankly boring if they all said the exact same sentence anyway....
