O2 Arena Question
Hi All,
We have tickets for Elbow at the O2 in London in block 420, which although its not standing looks like we could get a pretty decent view.Does anyone have any experience of this area of the arena - seems like its not too far from the stage (i.e there are far worse seats to have!)? Anyone?? |

the best thing to do would be to look at seating plan of the arena on the website. I'm seeing Paramore in november, can't remember where I'm sitting because my tickets are upstairs...it is confusing though. I couldn't work it out. I guess I'll just have to wait.
Hope this helps.

You'll get a good view but it's very high up, especially the back of the block

Been there a few times, you will have good view, it is really high up. Only tip is don't wear too many layers, that place is so hot when you walk in there.
There's plenty of bars / a Starbucks and lots of different restaurants, give yourself a bit of time to get to your seats, as you have to walk past the bars etc to get to where you show your ticket. As with every concert the tube is packed afterwards, so if you're not in a hurry definitely hang back and go to a bar inside as they remain open after. Tube is next door to the arena. |

![]() I think best plan is, go early have some tea and some wine, hang back after and have a pint or two, because I know the DLR gets rammed straight after a gig! Thanks |

What the others have....you'll pretty much a decent view wherever you go in the O2 although if you suffer from vertigo then the top tier wont be your bread and butter.
I've never been so crammed on the tube before either so take the advice of having a drink afterwards if using this option. We only had 12 minutes to catch the last one so couldn't indulge in drinks, it was a mare but all worth it. |

Better option for getting back to London post-gig: Get a boat. Thames Clippers operate after all shows there and are big, fast, and comfy. On the rare occasions I go to gigs at the O2 (I live in Manchester, so it's not exactly local) I stay in the city and get a boat to and from the arena. Last time I caught one after the Peter Gabriel gig the man himself was on the boat too!

Or if you're driving there, park in the NCP car park, as it's cheaper than the proper O2 ones.

It is very high up, but because of the design of the arena you will still get a good view wherever you sit.

Look into the times though. As far as I know the boat leaves about 15 minutes after the gig ends. That is great if you get out of the arena in 15 minutes. If you are on the top level which are all the blocks with an 400 number you will be bloody lucky if you are as they make you go on a sponsored walk to get out of the building.
I've caught the boat a few times, you know. There isn't just one. I suggest *you* look at the times |

It's chepaer still if you park for free in the car park where Sainsburys and B&Q are. It's about an 20 minute walk from the O2 so not that far.
