She struck me as the candidate with most sense on task one.

So often on The Apprentice we've seen teams do a bit of market research only to ignore the valuable advice they were given.

Had Melissa not stood her ground about the gormet sausages, I doubt the girls would have won.

And I agreed with her about closing out deals you initiated too. It's the professional thing do. I don't believe it was just about Melissa wanting credit.

She's not argumentative for the sake of it, it's usually for a good reason.

My early favourite.

Thank goodness for Melissa. Different reasons for me but she's TV gold

I do agree.
Jenny Eclair was wrong about Melissa being annoying. I think that Melissa is going to be one to watch.
She was sharp and on the ball and already one of my favourites.

Ah, the "I don't want to be PM, but I'm going to argue about every single thing" & "Sawsarges".

Annoying beyond belief - so she'll get to the interview round before being binned

On a slightly different note, I found Jenny Eclair a bit embarrassing last night. She's usually quite funny but she didn't make me laugh once. Just came out with the predictable pre-menstrual gag. And she was way off the mark about Melissa.

Yep, that was her Daisy!

She was annoying, she knows a bit, but cant see her winning. She will annoy Alan when she is in the boardroom. She will be in the boardroom often, as her PMs will bring her in more often than not.

At the beginning, she was telling the teams what they needed to do, when asked do you want to be the PM, she backtracked pretty quickly.

To be honest, it didnt really matter whether you made gourmet or not. It was primarily a selling task...as Nick said...get the sausages frying, let the people taste them...if they are good they will sell themselves.

i really didn't like melissa. i thin kshe should have just been project manager, instead of keep disagreeing all the time though.

i think she'll be around for a while though.

You can't run a mile from being PM when asked and then spend the rest of the task carping at the person with the bottle to take on the job.

Put up or shut up!

I agree she is the most professional and level headed

Melissa is a pain and she looks like Jemima from Round the Bend (old CITV programme)
However, she is not as annoying as Stuart.

I like Melissa to be honest. Up and in your face, feisty and defending her corner. Loved her delivery when she said "What, you open a deal with somebody and you don't close it?" Miss Cohen, LS should be proud of the you!

Is it just me, or does Melissa remind you of Saira Khan? I don't mean in looks, but attitude and personality? Sugar cut Saira a lot of slack, maybe he will do the same here.

Sugar will cut Melissa loads of slack, just as he will Stuart as he knows they make good telly. The only time he will get rid is if they are up against one of his secret faves.

Quite right too - Saira, Paul Tosari, Sayed, Tre, Jenny Celeriac all stayed longer than they 'should' but the show would be pretty dull without them.

She will make good television and raised some valid points about sausages but I doubt Sugar could work with her. If she calms down and learns some diplomacy I might warm to her but I found her irritating last night.

I doubt he'll be asking her to drop her trousers to prove she's Jewish though!

Melissa is certainly this year's motormouthed woman, and will probably make good tv. I worry though that she may end up alienating her team, and become this year's Lorraine - the person who makes good points but doesn't know how to communicate them without appearing negative.

Well, no; she is annoying.

She wasn't very sharp when she suggested "Winning Women" for a team name. I wouldn't mind, but picking team names is one of the few things they can prepare for in advance, and it seems she hadn't thought about it or done the slightest bit of research into how the show works.

Claiming to be great at everything in the task, and then backing out of leading it, didn't endear her to me either. Certainly she bears watching, but currently I am anti.
