Using a normal tariff in an iPhone. Is it possible

At the moment i'm using a LG BL40 mobile on Orange. The contract i'm on doesn't end for 12 months. I would like to buy an iPhone and use my current Orange sim card and tariff with it. I know i can cut the sim card down to fit the iPhone 4 card slot, but my question is....if i add an internet bundle to my tariff will everything work on an iPhone like it does on my current phone.

I really can't see why it wouldn't but before i fork out a small fortune on an iPhone i wanted to check i'm not missing anything obvious.

Many thanks

Simon

will work fine but you wont get visual voicemail. just change the APN settings on the iphone to suit your current settings and you should be set.

Sorry, total novice here. Do iPhones have custom sized sim card slots? If I buy an iPhone 4 outright and then get a sim-only deal elsewhere, will I need to doctor the sim card?

Yes. The iPhone 4 has a micro SIM rather than a normal SIM. You can cut it with scissors or buy a device which will nicely cut it to the right size.

I don't know about other providers, but O2 will just give you a micro sim if you ask for one.

So will Orange. I know as I asked. You wont get the BT openzone access unless you pay an extra tenner a month tho'.
