What can I cook for my boyfriend? (a bit of an amateur here)
Hello!
I'm a bit of a saddo and very very loved up, and I've decided I want to cook a nice special meal for my boyfriend on a weekend when we'll have the house to ourselves. On a whim I've also gone and promised three courses. ![]() I can cook, but nothing too elaborate, and I need instructions to be very very clear cut. "Pick up bowl with both hands" that sort of thing. ( So yes, any foodies out there got any ideas? I know there isn't really much to go on from this thread (although I will add that he doesn't eat prawns), but I just need somewhere to start really.

Smoked salmon for the starter, that's easy, take it out of the packet and squeeze some lemon juice over it.
Steak, which is very easy to cook, serve it with a nice green salad and some crusty bread. Then buy a fabulous dessert from M&S or Waitrose. Done!! |

starter I'd do something simple like bruscetta - tomato, red onion, basil, olive oil in a bowl mix. Toast bread in oven or under grill and spoon tomato mix on top. Voila.
Or what about mini tarts premade pastry - puff - get it from the freezer or fridge section supermarket. Top with tomatoes, and cheese like a mini pizza, put in oven on baking tray 200c for 20mins yummms. Stuffed mushrooms - get large flat mushrooms - put in frying pan and fry for a while until browned/ softened a bit. In a bowl mix breadcrumbs, ham/ bacon/ pancetta (acon and pancetta cut to small bits and fried in the same pan just done mushrooms in) cheese or your choice and any old herbs will do. I'd go for basil. a lump of butter and 2 garlic cloves at least. and stick on top of musrooms. Put cheese on top of that and stick in oven/ or under grill until soft yummmms Main- stuffed chicken - chicken breast cut down side. Stuff with philadelphia or cheaper brand (I recommend the herbs and galric one) and wrap italian meat around the outside of the chicken to hold it together is. Put in dish and cook 180c for 30-40 mins until cooked through. Dessert - pavalova is easy.... say 3 eggs whites whisk (recommend with electric whisk) until stiff. Mix in sugar - I do it to taste sorry stir in using a metal instrument such as metal knife. Don't stir too hard. Stick in oven 220c until golden brown. Or you could do cheesecake - break up biscuits - half an average size paclk melt butter enough so that when you puyt the biscuits in they stick together without excerss butter (wish I had measurements but not off the top of my head). Then get cream cheese (full fat works best, plain flavour) and put in bowl mix to make it softish and loose shape. The add some sugar, vanilla essence, I add melted chocolate to make a chocolate one and. Put biscuits in the bottom of a metal cake tin, press until really compact. Put in fridge to harden. Take out (an hour should do it) put the cream cheese mixture on top and put back in fridge to harden (this will take about 4 hours. I do night before). Sprinkle chocolate btison top voila. -Measurements would make this easier cheesecake recipes atre all pver the web though. Just don't go for ones that state gelatine... I hate that stuff |

It's a really nice idea and whether you can cook or not, you do want something simple because you don't want to be spending your entire evening in the kitchen!
Here's a few simple recipes that I'm sure you and your boyfriend would love! These are all lovely thanks.
I knew I could rely on the DS lot. ![]() I especially like the Bruscetta idea as he always gets that when we go out to eat, and the risotto sounds really good too. They all sound good to be honest, (even the blowjob idea... )
