From what I saw last night, he was the only one of the lads who opened his mouth and anything consistently sensible came out.

He immediately endeared himself to me for pulling up GrotBaggs in the market, and the other coverage of him showed him being an Apprentice game show contestant who is apparently - shock, horror - sensible and reasonable.

Alongside Shibby who, after an appalling start with that dreadful soundbyte, seemed to be a fairly decent fellow in the heat of the moment, Jamie is the bloke to watch, I think.

Haven't really made up my mind about the girls yet, although the merchant bankers (not rhyming slang, in this case) seemed on the ball and Douglas Hurd / Jedward was good entertainment value

I take it you are ignoring his use of the word "cringeable" then? LOL

"Cringeable" was the sole highlight of last night's show. I like Jamie.

C'mon forgive the cringeable, every one has come out with a misspoken word in the heat of the moment. He did seem fairly level headed.

Thank you, that was killing me. I thought I had seen him before, either on tele or out in the street. Shayne Ward, of course.

Please let this catch on as a thing - cringeable is my new favourite word!

Jamie seemed like he might be one of the two okay'ish/vaguely level headed ones they put in the mix of horrors every year, but his word choiceable there was hilarious!

Jamie seems like he's got a "story" friendly personality (and he's easy on the eyes too ) so I have a feeling he'll feature a lot in the coming episodes.

Then, like all good apprentice characters, he'll fall short of the interview/final stage, and make an exit at one of the final few tasks.

The winner will be some quietish character who has not featured much in the first episode.
