The thing to bear in mind is that Google doesn't intend this to be a consumer mass market product. It's more of a proof of concept to encourage the adoption of an Android OS in other TVs and set-tops.

Interesting looking remote control, but I have no more room for boxes UNDER my telly. Build it into the telly and I'm on board.
(why would Sony be getting involved with an experiment for Google? This is a Sony product they intend to make money off, hence the price) |
