iPhone 4 phone only

My wife currently has a LG Crystal on O2 with unlimited web bolt on but it's a bit crap basically!!

I have the iPhone 4 on contract with O2 & she loves these ease of use of it & is always pinching mine, so I was going to surprise her with one of her own for Christmas.

I was wondering the best place to buy it sim free would be? eBay??

Also, all we'd need to do is pop in the micro sim & transfer her details over to it, is that right?

Cheers

I've found it's often more expensive on eBay than it would be to buy brand new.

I think the best option is to buy online, direct from Apple.

Just keep checking the eBay "Buy It Nows", pretty much always cheaper than messing about with auctions

I wouldn't trust eBay with sumthing that expensive... you'd be gutted if it was blocked in a few weeks due it being reported lost or stolen and they'd be jack shit you could do

Much safer to buy direct from Apple. It comes SIM free and unlocked and you have a full warranty. 16gb = £499 and 32gb = £599 If I remember correctly.

Entirely agree with the other posters. The online apple store or your nearest apple retail store should be your port of call. eBay is too full of scammers doing insurance jobs to risk it on something like this

also to the above comments buying from apple direct the phone will be unbranded too so you wont have any preloaded stuff from any of the operators

Agree with all the above. I got mine direct from apple, and to be honest, they always seem to go for more than the apple store price on ebay.

The operators aren't allowed to brand the phones anyway. They're just locked to their network.

iPhones are not branded. They get their network settings for SMS etc from iTunes.

They could however be network locked if not bought from Apple direct.

It'd surprise me them doing one so quickly. I would though expect an iPhone version 5 around July next year; that seems to be their timeline for phone releases.

I rather like the new style iPhone 4 (so much that I bought one). If I have it for a few years until I upgrade then that's cool.

But there is *always* a "new and improved" version of anything just around the corner

Read the linked story to the Wall Street Journal, in that it says nothing about the next iPhone, only that there's going to be a CDMA version of iPhone 4 for Verizon. How T3 can turn that into a story about the next iPhone is unbelievable.
