I've got an I Phone 3G and it was fine this morning. Just tried to use it and it's dead, can't turn it on. It wasnt low on battery so dont think its something as simple as that - have tried to recharge it just in case but didnt get the brrr sound that comes on when it starts to charge.

Someone has suggested taking the battery out but I can't even take the back of it to try. Sorry, am a complete non starter when it comes to anything technical so any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Tried pressing both buttons together for a few seconds? Failing that try when it's connected to your computer with iTunes running.
