Has there been much publicity other than Loose Women?

The album has been number one for over 11 weeks in America on the Blues Album Chart

I've already listened to it and I have to admit it's my least favourite album from her by a long shot. Maybe it's because I'm not fanatical about blues music but it didn't click with me at all and I was very disappointed.

Hope she returns to a more pop sound for her next release.

It's a tough album to like, but good on her for doing something different. Just a shame that Brink was such a good pop album and she then threw a curveball!!

I certainly don't resent her for doing something new but I just don't think she pulled it off.

Brink was fantastic, which is why I think she couldn't have chosen a worse time to try such a jarringly different style. She could have made at least one more pop album and included a couple of blues/country tracks in it to test the waters...going straight from pop to blues without any kind of transition is too much for me. I wouldn't be surprised if Memphis Blues bombs because I can't imagine people who aren't really into blues/country clicking with it much.

Wrong type of album to follow up. totally agree. But then she never has followed one genre of music from one album to another. I wonder what we will get next time?

The memphis blues album has been really big in the US, but then they listen to alot more blues music than uk people.

Yeah true, they do.

I have to say though I was disappointed with the charting of Bring Ya To The Brink over here in the UK, it seems to be a favourable album and lots of people seem to know it, but nobody seemed to go and buy it lolol

I havent heard alot of the blues stuff yet except snippets of Just Your Fool.
