What on earth are Ann and Anton planning tonight?

They wouldn't show the dance training on ITT last night and didn't discuss what Ann would be wearing.

Why do I have this bizarre image in my mind that Anton(ia) is going to be in a skimpy frock and black curly wig with Ann in trousers and a top?

Apparently their routine is going to be "comedy gold" according to the salsa coach. I don't think for one moment they are going to play it straight!

I can't wait!!!!!!

Not sure, but I've already moved my sofa forward to make sure there's plenty of room to hide behind it...

I wonder will Ann have her little 3/4 lenght trousers on ? I find them hilarious and always wonder if they are really long shorts .
I dont know if the hilarity act of " Little and Large do Strictly " is going to really go down well for more then two weeks now . Will it wear thin ?

I am finding this pair tiresome to say the least  "Strictly come Dancing" is the title of the show, and I would like to see some dancing not shuffling around the floor, and as for entertainment I cannot see it, I find it embarassing epecially where Anne is concerned !

I so agree. Ann won't fake tan, she doesn't know a heel lead from a toe poke and she llooks like the back end of a pantomime horse. She'll bring the gaff into disrepute. There's no place for frivolity in Strictly Come Dancing.

TBH, I'm not expecting anything more than a laughably bad salsa. I think Anton's just savvy enough to know that if they play it up they're more likely to get the public vote and stay in.

The point is though that she was invited to take part. If SCD do that, expecting people to be canon fodder, they need to be taught a lesson!

In fairness, I'm pretty sure the producers by this point were fully aware on signing her that Ann W was never going to go quietly. More has been said about her than any other contestant, the judges said they were looking forward to her the most, she herself has referenced John Sergeant a few times... I hate to break it to anyone who hasn't yet realised it, but from the way they've played it thus far, I'm pretty sure the producers are eagerly anticipating another Chris Parker/ Julian Clary/ John Sergeant. That's why she's there. Cannon fodder are usually middling bad types who aren't promoted and who nobody really cares about.

Good point !

I have never had any time for Ann Widdecombe, but am warming to her enormously in this show.

No-one would have looked at Ann and said to themselves ''You know, there's dance potential there. Let's get her on board, I need to see this woman Tango'', would they?

She has been invited because of her comedy and human interest potential. She makes no pretence of being any good, and she's scarcely built for speed, although in fact she isn't that huge, just very top heavy.

If SCD want this to be purely a dance competition, they shouldn't invite people who clearly are not going to be doing the splits any time soon, and for whom the showdance would require the use of either wires, or Geoff Capes.

I think it would be completely hilarious if they were to appear this evening with Anton in a frock - I for one would be in tears of laughter.

There are plenty of really promising dancers to keep the purists happy - Matt and Pamela in particular. Let us have at least one person providing the light relief.

(Incidentally, how fabulous is Pamela Stephenson for a woman of 60? And who knew she would be that good??????)

I really hope it does. Ann may be great entertainment (for those who like that sort of thing, I guess) but for me it stops being funny the minute a potentially good dancer gets booted off prematurely.

Nor am I convinced Anton is enjoying the experience anywhere near as much as he pretends. He's quite a good actor when needs be!

The only problem I really have with ann & anton is that I hope they have actually tried to learn something and do a proper routine - of sorts! I dont mind if they are rubbish and then they get voted to stay in - thats up to the gbp, as long as they've done some work & made an effort, not just only acting silly

I totally agree. Ann is fab and a refreshing change from the contestants who are pretending not to take it too seriously but are really desperate to win.At least she tells it like it is.Why shouldn't she have the opportunity to learn to dance The producers knew exactly what the were doing inviting her on the show and it is down to the public now whether she stays in or not.

I'm not a fan of Ann, but I'm looking forward to their routine.

Although I hope they get voted out soon. I hate seeing people who are better going first.

Do you know something we don't? I guess there is nothing to say it has to be the female in a frock! LOL!

Don't want to worry you Mimi but there may be no escape. They're doing that move where they cross over arms several times (don't know what it's called). Looking at the preview in the week, there is a good chance that they will completely tie themselves up in knots and become irretrievably bound together. Therefore I think that the Ann and Anton pairing could be a permanent feature that will be difficult to avoid.

I am waiting for that so I can go out to make my cup of tea - and come back when it is all over. I am so annoyed that she is on and depriving a better dancer of a chance - and Anton the chance to have a go at the glitter ball. And don't say she is funny because I find her far from funny and intensly irritating.

This is a car crash waiting to happen and I'm going to love every second of it just like last week. Fans should vote her all the way to the finals just to spite those BBC bosses and Strictly judges

I'm really looking forward to tonight's show too. Probably need the incontinence pants on standby if Anton and Ann's routine is as funny as we are expecting!
