Explain to me again how it spites the BBC bosses? If she's popular and stays that's a good thing for them...

By what I've heard about Ann's refusal to wear anything skimpy, I wouldn't be at all surprised is she's dressed in a burka!

They bring on some of the older celebrities as canon fodder, thinking they will go fairly on. Then John Sergeant turned up and they realised that good dancers were going at his expense. The thing is though that I enjoyed watching him more than most people I have seen on SCD. I suspect the same could happen with Ann. She knows she hasn't a chance of competing in the dance stakes so her and Anton are determined to have fun. And good on them!

I don't want to see Anne is something skimpy anymore than she wants to wear something like that!

It's not a necessity anyway. You don't need to be scantily clad in order to look sexy.

I think the ITT clip was a hint - it'll be a variation on the 'Dance of the 7 Veils', shadow version!

Agree with you though Sid, allure comes from within.

Am getting bit fed up of the whole Ann & Anton thing already .....I don't mind if she makes an effort to learn the dances but if she just makes a joke of the whole thing while people who are making an effort are voted off then that's a different story......

Kind of what I was trying to say - you said it better lol
I can well appreciate they must KNOW there's no chance of Ann getting much hip action going or them scoring highly, but surely its down to the skill of Anton & the salsa trainers to come up with some moves that they can put together into some sort of routine. If they do that, and have a go and have a laugh then good luck to them, I think I will be supporting them. If they do a comedy routine with no dancing that will put a lot of people off supporting them I think.

This is the best thread ever! So true. What the hell are they going to do?! All I know is that I can't wait. It's bound to be funny! The thing I like about Anne is that she knows she will never be good at dancing so has a laugh, it's great to laugh along. But with John sargeant he thought he could get somewhere so everyone laghed at him. I didn't like that.

They may not have a snowballs chance in hell but they sure know how to play the game.

I'm sure it'll be fun tonight ( dread to think what she'll be wearing) but wonder how long it'll be before it wears a bit thin, Anton's smile is getting less convincing by the day, wonder what his reward will be?

It's Jive week I'm dreading, please don't let it be at Blackpool... Widdy jiving away on that super bouncy floor, she'll be taken out by one of her own gazongas on it's way back up from her knees. I'll be joining those hiding behind the settee that week.

People were laughing with John not at him - I don't think he thought for one moment he could dance. But he did realise he could entertain.

Let's just hope that Anton doesn't treat us to one of his open shirts

I quite like Ann but, I'm finding all the hooha surrounding her more than a little contrived. As a result I'm not enjoying the show as much as I should do.

I thought they did that last year with Chris. Lovely guy that he was, only his most ardent admirers would argue that he was the best dancer in the competition. Technically I had him a distant second on the night of the final and there is absolutely nothing anyone on this forum could do or say to persuade me otherwise.

I think she forgot her crowning moment and Anton tried to rescue her. I haven't seen trotters whirling around like that since Rocky took on the cold meat store.

Stupid. At least John Sergeant made an attempt to learn the dances. That was just pointless meandering around and dicking about to music.

Not entertained, not amused, not impressed.

That's fine. Other people (including me) found Chris the most entertaining dancer and nothing will persuade me otherwise either.

This exhibition draws attention to her age group, her sex, and the governing politicial party.

Is it time for another bailout with taxpayer money?
