Favourite movie/video game soundtracks
Don't know if this has been done before but anyway mine is..
Final Fantasy 7,8 & 9 (Nobuo Uematsu) - For anyone who has every played these, these have to be the soundtracks ever made right? Some of the best hours I can spend are spent listening to each of these 4 hour+ albums... Also the fact these were made with the playstations poor quality midi restrictions makes it even more astounding. Final Fantasy 7 OST - Aeris' Theme Final Fantasy 8 OST - Balamb Garden Final Fantasy 9 OST - You're Not Alone |

Another vote for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The original Super Mario Bros tunes are classic though!

You should have stated that you meant Original Songs OP! People will just say Grand Theft Auto games or Guitar Hero games for Video Game Soundtracks due to the vast number of licensed songs they have!

The Sonic Adventure soundtrack is epic.
It lets you listen to all of the tracks in the settings which is cool. |

The only video games soundtracks i've ever been moved to listen to in my own time independant of the games is the Legend of Zelda Reorchestrated albums for Ocarina of time and Windwaker.
"Meet zelda again" from Ocarina is rather calming and the "The legendary hero" from windwaker has some amazing goosebump inducing geek out moments. I'm a massive fan of 8 bit chiptune and as such most video game music done for a gameboy sounds great to me. With that in mind the Gameboy variations EP by Beck is amazing as is the RAC Sega vs Nintendo EP, special mention should also go to the amazing Legend of Zelda/Hip hop mash up album "ocarina of Rhyme" by team team work. Stretching the original topic a bit but they are all worth a listen. |

The Lion King Soundtrack was also awsome, shame Disney can't do the same today.
The Beach also had an amazing summer soundtrack. |
