Good news for all Kinks fans and fans of lots of others.
Ray's bringing out a new album called 'See My Friends' and he's collaborated with loads of others too, hopefully it'll spread the great music of the Kinks. Here's the tracklist "Better Things" - Ray Davies and Bruce Springsteen "Celluloid Heroes" - Ray Davies, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora "Days/This Time Tomorrow" - Ray Davies and Mumford & Sons "A Long Way From Home" - Ray Davies, Lucinda Williams and The 88 "You Really Got Me" - Ray Davies and Metallica "Lola" - Ray Davies and Paloma Faith "Waterloo Sunset" - Ray Davies and Jackson Browne "'Til The End of The Day" - Ray Davies, Alex Chilton and The 88 "Dead End Street" - Ray Davies and Amy MacDonald "See My Friends" - Ray Davies and Spoon "This Is Where I Belong" - Ray Davies and Black Francis "David Watts" - Ray Davies and The 88 "Tired Of Waiting" - Ray Davies and Gary Lightbody "All Day And All Of The Night/Destroyer" - Ray Davies and Billy Corgan And it's out on the 1st November. ![]() I'm particularly looking forward to Better Things, Lola and This Time Tomorrow/Days with Mumford and Sons. I knew this would be about The Kinks when I saw the thread title. Just listened to the Mumford collab and it's beautiful! Absolutely love The Kinks so will definitely be looking up this CD, thanks for letting me know!

Paloma Faith had mentioned Ray Davies in one of her previous tweets; so I guessed that there were some collaborations going on. Ray for me is under-appreciated. I sincerely hope it doesn't take the man's death for people to realise how much of a songwriting legend he is. Quintessentially-English songwriting at its finest.

Same here. Except that I thought Cabledude was going to tell us something specifically relating to the song 'See My Friends'.
