LucyDTrym. My sentiments entirely. I have seen a lot of her work on TV and in live theatre and ot course Barbara Good is only a small part of it. Maybe some people just want to believe the fantasy she created in the Good Life and are disappointed in the reality - she has been successful in a very tough profession and you don't do that by being a scatterbrained simpleton.

Nonetheless, I find her likeable on Strictly - she has brains and is aware of her limitations whilst her appearance and personality still creates an illusion of vulnerability, even in her sixties. She knows that in going outside her comfort zone she has got to learn a new skill and can't hide behind the mask of her acting ability. As a dancer she is currently OK but not special, but she seems to be enjoying it and doing quite well with a very suitable partner. .

She hasn't made that much impact so far but may yet do so if she gets the chance. Brendan Cole once said the thing that makes Strictly interesting is the difference in ability levels - if everyone was brilliant, or everyone was useless, it would be boring. Lisa Snowdon's transformation from average dancer to good one was interesting, just as much so as Jill Halfpenny's was going from good to very good. Right now FK is doing OK, I just hope she lasts at least six weeks to show us what she can do and how much she can improve.

Agree. She cannot move her face like someone normal can due to all the surgery and therefore twitches her face a lot cos it won't move, she was a good looking woman and would have aged well as she had good features now she looks like the a waxwork dummy and it is not pleasant to watch her I find it quite sad

It makes me a little sad too to see her twitch and wrinkle her nose and generally put on a a bit of a little girl act .She is a fine woman and why spoil it with fillers and botox etc
What they all seem not to get is they all end up looking the same and we all know its botox etc .

Felicity reminds me of that lady on Bewitched!

It is a shame that she's had a lot of work done. Why do older women think it makes them look better? It doesn't. The same goes for Pamela who looks so manufactured. Just a clone of so many other women out there. What happened to individuality?!

Still, back to this thread and I appreciated Felicity's Foxtrot a bit more after hearing the pro on Choreography Corner talk about it.

I love Felicity's dancing too, I'm looking forward to seeing her next week.

I think she will continue to improve and get better, I like her, and know that she will get negative things commented on, but she is doing OK, and I hope she can get better once the judges are off her back (LEN!)

I do like her as an actress, and I think she's a nice calm, sedate person, a bit vain perhaps but then who isn't. She's a great lady and I truly hope she can get better and be more appreciated and not be one of the "Oh, who was that?" categories and leaves Week 3/4...Come on Flick! You can do it!

I really can't think of a bad word to say about Felicity, she is simply fabulous.

I think it is a good start and that Vincent is concentrating on a good foundation. I think if she stays in long enough that will pay off. He needs to point out to her though that she is an actress and she needs to emote. If she needs to get in character to perform then he should give her a character to play for each dance.

Yes, I tend to agree with all that.

I don't think Felicity's first two dances would have looked out of place in any other series of Strictly. But there are so many talented partnerships this time that she's getting a bit lost in the crowd.

Once she settles, I hope to see a bit more of a performance in her dances and more personality and rapport with Vincent in their interviews and VT's.

It's all very foreign at the moment, but I'll give her a chance.

Felicity is getting a seriously bad deal from make-up. She'on ITT now without all the slap and looks much better.

She and Vinnie were great on ITT.

That's more like it!

Great interview on ITT, they are really hopeful of their Rumba, lets hope she can use her acting well and perform to perfection. Come on Flick!!!

Fingers crossed this Rhumba has the same effect as Cherie and James' did.

Come on Felicity, you can do it x

I haven't got HD and actually my telly is a bit rubbish so from what i've seen she looks great and i feel inspired to get back into ballet having seen her .

Having said that, and thanks to you lot i just googled felicity and had a good look at some of her photos and, well she does look different i still like her though.

peach45 - you really should. I was recently contacted by a mother going back to ballet classes after giving birth - how inspiring is that when you think about how much else she has to deal with?

There is nothing better for getting you in the right sort of shape.

And I agree, \Felicity is an example to us all - look at her control and her flexibility. Vincent never makes easy choreography.

I don't think the judges have been hard on Felicity; even given her age, she really didn't dance that well. Her cha cha was dreadful, and her foxtrot was not good. She is trim and supple so has it all going for her, but it didn't work. Unlike Pamela who is of a similar age - but as a dancer - is not exactly svelte, but look at what she managed to do? Felicity needs to take a leaf out of Pam's book, and let herself go.

I actually thought the judges were pretty hard on her foxtrot, it was a nice understated dance and she looked lovely in that dress.

Hi Abs, yes it is really disconcerting. Like she is playing the flirty little girl and it just doesnt work any more. She is still very attractive but her facial expressions remind me of a contortionist. She is lovely and doesnt need to do it.

Which of course proves what is always said - it's all a matter of taste. I thought her foxtrot was certainly understated, but not nice - and that dress! Brown - yuck! But as said, just a matter of taste, and good that we don't all think the same or life would be so boring.

I liked her Foxtrot and Cha Cha, but they weren't overly good.

She did spend her childhood in India. I suspect early sun damage has aged her skin. Her sister, who remained in India, looked much older than her years.

Also she is very slim and sometimes (not always!!!!) slim people age around the neck etc more than their slightly heavier "sisters".

If Felicity reads this we (I hope I'm right in saying "we") are not really being catty - we love you really!
