I'm suspicious about last night....

I think Craig's comment to Michelle was made because she threatened to leave the show! It was wierd that he made a comment about how hard she has been working. She was obviously p*ssed off about last week particularly with Craig as she implied on ITT. I really believe I'm right, cynical yes, but no one knows what happens behind close doors, especially when it comes to media where you have to hide things.

I don't think that was ever a real possibility. Michelle knows that however bad her lack of dancing prowess looks, storming off in a huff would do nothing for her image. I suppose she could always pretend to be ill or something though.

I agree the comment was weird. But what the motivation was I don't know.

Isn't it just part of Craig's trite technique of adding "something nice" on the end of each comment? If he'd been told to be nice to keep her on, why hammer her really hard with the earlier part of his comment? On the whole I actually thought the opposite - the judges were refusing to bend to her request that they be nicer. Compare her comments with the comments received by Tina and Goldie (both of whom got the same score as she did). Far harsher and much more negative.

I think its Brendan with his attitude that attracts such hostility from the judges towards his partners if they do a mediocre dance. Brendan and his bolshi attitude is like a red rag to a bull.

Brendan's whingeing is predictable and as good as scripted. He was obviously kept on to make remarks like that and ruffle feathers and that is what he is doing: what his bosses want. However tiresome many viewers find it ...

I suspect hIs lack of grace and professionalism may backfire on him this year, however. Him being protective of Jo Wood may have earned him some fans, but everyone expects so much more from Michelle than she's delivering, plus she is herself clearly unhappy and can't cope with negative feedback (even if an awful lot of it is constructive criticism). I doubt she has threatened to leave the show - after all, she wouldn't get paid if she did - but there has been a whole lot of lemon-sucking going on. The production team are clearly trying to dress something up, however, with all those references to her being homesick ... Was she 'homesick' when she was doing Chicago and needed to tell everyone?

Michelle was better last night than her first outing proved to be - but she needs to go on a charm offensive if she wants to win over viewers ... and letting Brendan moan like a sulky child is a bad start.

Brendan saying she deserved more marks than that was totally ridiculous imo I'm sure every single professional thought their partners deserved more than the judges gave them because they all know the effort their celeb has put in and are rooting for them to do well. If he came on ITT after watching it back and said it deserved more then it wouldn't be so bad, but the judges mark what they just watched for ALL couples and I'm sure they all feel hard done by to some degree. Its wearing thin for me
