Complete rubbish, recorded on the Saturday evening (complete with Len's stray hair), I'll get the results from Ceefax (or digital text) in future!

They should have split the shows over 2 nights. 14 dancers on Saturday was too much and got a little tiresome towards the end if the show.

Using the stop-start DWTS format of announcing results did nothing to heighten the tension in my opinion. If anything, any tension that was building nicely just evaporated the moment we switched to something else.

The whole show could be wrapped up in 15 minutes flat and should be shown live later on Saturday night.

I was sniggering when Tess was talking about what happened 'last night'. No one's fooled. We all know the results show is recorded.

And as for the recap? Pointless. We see the same clips again and again and again. I never want to hear Bruno's "Could it be tragic" quip again.

Sorry for the moan. I love the new look Strictly overall, but not this aspect of it. What a shambles.

I thought it was terrible. All the drama gone, terrible treatment of celebrities and dancers, and the recaps are so, so boring. I had hoped that by going for a half-hour show they would be returning to the original format in the good old days when there was the show, then a break for Casualty or whatever, then a short results show - all on Saturday night. This was the format that worked by far the best for me - alas it was not to be. Such a disappointment after the improvement in the main show!

Agree that the results should be live on Saturdays. Why the BBC think pre-recorded results shows on Sundays is a good idea is beyond me.

Yes an absolute fiasco of a format. Remember, we are still supposed to believe that the results show is actually recorded on a Sunday night.

Now we are supposed to also swallow that the couples line up on the stage, then some get saved and one gets nommed, then as if by magic within ten seconds they are all upstairs on the balcony discussing it. Then, hey presto, a few minutes later it all happens again.

Now either there is a greasy firemans pole and rope ladder out of shot to facilitate all this faffing around from stage to balcony or the beeb are taking the proverbial.

nananananananananana .... BATMAN!
they do have a fireman's pole and a rocket-powered Stannah stairlift. The prototype did Thora Hird in.

Cant they have a big dance routine. Something spectacular like DWTS does so well. Anything to fill the 30 mins out. Plus, dont ask Robbie back again

Hate the results show on DWTS and so disappointed they've now cloned it on SCD. Much preferred the older show - with or without the dance off. More banter related to what had happened on the show, less boring filler and brilliant pro dances by the competing pros rather than by a group that you can't forget are a bit secondary.

Breaking up the results breaks the tension for me, it doesn't add to it. The rapid move through various edits also makes me feel as though the show is on fast-forward.

Loving the new series of strictly, but big thumbs down to the results show from me!

Yeah - it was too much Tess and too little Claudia - should be about equal ideally - doesn't work if it is too one sided either way. And what was Claudia wearing. OK that may have been personal choice but the disparity was blindingly obvious

And can we have the results slpit evenly between Tess and Claudia rather than just Tess reading them out

They were, I agree, but that also made me really sad as I am missing them from the main show so much. Maybe it's ridiculous of me, but I'm finding it really hard not to see it as demeaning for Ian and Darren to be in that dance group and it makes me angry with the programme makers all over again. Just my feeling and I hope to get over it as the series goes on because it's done now and I want to enjoy them dancing.

I thought breaking up the voting announcement felt weird and just emphasised how padded out the results show was.

Give it time, they need one week to get some feedback and change things around. It did seem rushed and clumsily edited but maybe creases need to be ironed out. Also like many above, Claudia needs so much more air time, she is great fun and is wasted with the jobs shes doing. I would argue that 30 minutes is too short and 45 minutes done well would be the best. I also wish it was live like The X Factor, no spoilers then. And if I really had my way, Bruce would be gone for both shows as he has become unbearable this series, he use to be the father of the series whom everyone respected but now it feels like he's the unwanted uncle at christmas telling all those cringe worthy jokes. Even the professionals look ashamed of him now. But cant have everything

But hopefully next week, we will see an improvement.

Me too. "Knowing" the professionals really adds to my involvement in the show.

Remember when Brian and Kristina were new, they did a sensational mambo (?) and many of us warmed to them through that.

Don't we know any insiders who can tell us some whys and wherefores? That would be some compensation

Where exactly on Saturday are you going to put it!!!
Their trying to avoid the x factor, the only slot that would have been available last night was 10.15pm. If they did that the same misery guts would be complaining about it being on so late!!

They should air the Results something like this:

7.30 Tess' intro
7.31 Opening Titles
7.32 Dance Troupe Dance
7.35 Claudia introduces the recap (which'll be quicker from next week as it's only going to review one night)
7.38 Claudia speaks to top two and bottom two of the leaderboard
7.41 Tess introduces star guest - accompanied by pro dancers
7.46 Tess speaks to the judges about bwhat they thought of the night
7.48 Montage covering different topics each week
7.50 The final results - Tess and Claudia both announce
7.55 The final two left standing - quick work with Len about each couple
7.57 The final result revealed
7.58 Couple dance the dance from 'last night' in full

I think it'd work better, and it only needs a couple of simple changes.

Well I enjoyed it
I liked last night's show - didn't think it was too long, I wish it were always 2hrs.
I liked tonight's show - even though I'd read the spoiler ( don't like anticipation)
I liked Tess and Claudia.
If they just got rid of Bruce - all would be perfect

If they play it right, the whole "in danger" thing may not be a disaster. On DWTS, they sometimes have the person leaving (obviously) and someone who may not be the other in the bottom two. It's a little manipulative, yes (and yet no more so than the editing of training, etc where partnerships can be shown in different ways) but it can offset the inevitable "So-and-so is really unpopular as they have been in the bottom two" business. And having someone mid-table in the danger zone (sorry, couldn't help that) can then boost their vote for the next week.

I actually missed Bruce!
And Claudia can't sit still - it's like she's got worms. You're not on BBC2 now ...

What an appalling mess of a programme! I do hope the producers will have a rethink and stop all this contrived, pointless nonsense.

How can it improve, as the number of contestants reduce we will probably get a longer dance routine from the troupe (which is sad enough as it is) and some celeb about to release a single giving a performance.

Not impressed, might as well read the spoilers.

It is all becoming a bit sad.

I think the OP means are both couples in the bottom two the lowest or is the 'saved' couple picked at random. I asked before, and the believe is it is the bottom two in the combined scores.

I know Claudia is hugely popular on this forum however I do not share this love of her - IMO she is alright in small doses - I thought that she was awful last night as was the whole show

Yuck. that is what I thought of the new Results Show. Thought the unnecessary dragging out of the "who is going through this week session" was ridiculous, did not build up tension just irritated the hell out of me. It seems odd to pause in the middle of it, have the professional dancers, singers etc and then go back to the segment. They hardly used Claudia (is she pregnant again?) who popped up now and again and I doubt if I will bother to watch the Results Show again. Just check on DS for the results.

It seem Strictly is turning into DWTS and Strictly was the original programme, not the other way aroound. I have only seen DWTS occasionally and quite honestly all the things I disliked about the show are being incorporated into Strictly now. Enough already.
