I think there's far more tension without a dance-off (unless you read spoilers). It's obvious (often depressingly so) who the judges are going to save as soon as it's announced who's in the bottom two, and the dance-off itself is always a complete waste of time and filler. Far better to have the slightly eccentric randomness of the Bottom Two. It produces far more surprising results.

I do think they're trying to make Strictly more like its American counterpart.

I dont want the dance off back but I dont like the results spread out all over the show

I'm not bothered about having the dance off back either but agree with Jan about disliking the results spread out through the programme.

Why don't they just add it on to the end of the lottery or combine the two.
