iPod running order
aja
10-10-2010
I recently bought an iPod Classic 160gb and I'm in the process of loading CDs onto it.

However I've encountered a strnge problem whilst loading the "Mono Masters" Cd from "The Beatles in Mono" boxset. The tracks load onto my iPod ok but it splits two tracks ("get Back" & "Don't Let Me Down", to be exact) from the rest of the tracks. I've tried removing and reloading the CD several times but get the same result each time. I've also checked the "Get Info" settings in iTunes but all appears to be in order.

Any suggestions please?

It will be something on the Get Info page. I had that happen with several albums. Make sure all the tracks are or aren't 'part of a compilation', album artist, and artist must be identical they are case sensitive and trailing spaces make a difference too. Best to just cut and paste all the info from a good track into the 2 that are playing up.

I've just checked my ipod and those tracks are separate on mine too - but its because the artist is listed as 'The Beatles (with Billy Preston)' so if you change it to just read 'The Beatles' then that should then list them all as the one album, though as mentioned above probably best to cut and paste the artist details to make sure they are exactly the same.

If you make sure that "album artist" is listed as 'The Beatles' on ALL tracks on the album then you can list the "artist" as 'The Beatles with Billy Preston' just on those two tracks, and as 'The Beatles' on all the others, and that should work as well.

That worked...many thanks!

Now I have another (similar) problem...I'm now getting "Piggies" on the Beatles "White Album" (both mono and stereo remasters) appearing as a track on its own! I've checked the "Get Info" and for the life of me I can't see what's wrong

Any suggestions welcome!
