Thats nice, glad you have a day off, I assume you mean the 1m rolls of half logs that form the divider at the side of a lawn or path.

A damp friday here has driven me indoors, we had a couple of glorious days this week, painted fences and gates without sun lotion on so am a bit on the scorched side!! Had a busy morning, we chose wood effect ceramic tiles for the kitchen/diner they are quite nice even though i was a bit nervous about them, they were lovely when newly washed but dull when dry, the tile shop suggested a sealant, so this morning they got 2 coats of said sealant, looking nice now, while i was applying it, This Morning hosted by Rylan and Detective Dan was on , I really like Rylan but cannot stand Dan.

Havent seen BB this week but will watch eviction, who will go?

Foggie, I end up deleting stuff I have recorded because I just havent time to watch all I want to watch! Are you due hols soon? Hopefully the weather will be good then.

Hicky, the netting must be working a treat! Was there an invasion of moths expected this summer ? I think i read something about moths.

I agree with the betting, I think and hope Jayne goes tonight, but when the public are involved, well.

The moths that lay eggs on the apple trees come from May to September, if left unchallenged they will decimate the apples, the come onto the trees looking for the females, if they mate then the female lays her eggs on the branches, they turn into maggots very quick and look for an apple, they eat in the apple for 4 weeks then drop out and hide in the bark or soil till the next year.
The base of the trees is covered in plastic and the apples are covered in insect mesh so the moths can't get at the branches by the apples, i'll see if it works later when they are ready.

I have covered all the cherry & plum trees now as the birds were eating too many cherries, it is a nuisance but it has to be done.
I have loads of lovely peas to pick, also raspberries and strawberries, toms not ready yet as i planted them late with them being outside.

You do mean the roll is 2.4m long,? thats a good coverage, how long is each post then, are they the half logs, of course if you put wood into soil it just rots, not easy to protect from the rotting though.
I used to have a divider at the other place but it was plastic, at least it didn't rot, doesn't look as good as wood log though.

Log roll is 2.4 mts long and about 9 inches in depth I put it about 4 inches into the ground the last batch lasted 6 years so not bad, I put 2 coats of green paint on to protect from rot, so my theory is this will do me now until we sell and move to our retirement home Qingdow in China.

I see, I have a feeling that they want you to put the base into soil so you have to replace it after so long.
If they didn't want you to replace it they would make it with galvanised spikes that went into the ground for support and the log roll would stay above the soil to stop it rotting.
But if you are moving out it should last you long enough.

A Lady Prime Minister it seems like only yesterday Maggie left number 10 I remember it well it was very sad to see how they back stabbed her.

But this Lady will do no better they are all destined to fail in that job as you can only ever please 50/% of the people at any one time if your Lucky.

Yes, a new PM, she will be able to stand up to the head of Germany now.
She can only follow the manifesto, whoever is PM shouldn't matter really, it's like a train driver, it doesn't matter it still stops at the same stations.

you will never get your year back because the country can't afford all the pensions, neither can the private companies, it's only going to get worse, people are living longer so they are draining the pot, it's a fact of life.
It seems to me that people are going to have to put more in the pot, i'm sure other countries put a lot more in, when i was working in Germany they seemed to have a lot more deductions than i did.

I think we will be fine, France is worrying all ready about their fishing in case we stop them fishing in our waters.
i think these other countries have a lot more to lose than us, we will do fine once we are free from the stranglehold of the EU.
The only reason the other countries wanted to stay in, apart from are free massive contribution was because they know now that other countries will want out because the EU is failing, just like the Euro.

the dizzy spells stopped about 6 weeks ago so i started to cut out one of the 3 tablets a day, each week i cut out one more to see how that was, so as you can tell, after 3 weeks i wasn't taking any,
If i stand looking up for too long i would feel some dizziness so i try to avoid that but normally i am fine.
