Foxsat v Sky + Questions
Hi I am looking to dump Sky and move to a Foxsat HDR, but I have a couple of questions that I am sure one of the forum members can sort:-
1 - Can you pin protect recordings on the Foxsat to stop the kids deleting the football ! ( Like Sky +) 2 - If you are watching a Non freesat channel like Sky News , does this stop recordings on freesat channels that are programmed ? Cheers flyboy13 |

You also get a second prompt asking if you really do want to delete, unlike the press once and it's gone on the Sky box, that was always my pet hate as I often deleted the wrong recording. If your main doubt is the way the box operates then fear nothing, once you have used the Humax a couple of times it will become second nature and you will get that smug feeling of having saved loads of money.

victorslot, thanks for that , slightly more reassured now, not sure about the non freesat \ freesat mode though , if watching a non freesat channel when a scheduled freesat recording starts will the box force me off non freesat ? flyboy13

It depends on when you went into non-freesat mode. If a recording is due within 15 mins when you enter it will fail. If it's more than that the box will warn you and default to switching back to freesat mode to make the recording. The box can't record in freesat mode while in non-freesat mode. You can't set a timer in non-freesat either though you can record HD without encryption |
