It's logical when you think of it, after all, he's worked with the Doctor, and has been tried nd tested.

He could even do a stint in Torchwood, to perfect his alien-fighting skills

Yes he was very vital in helping the Doc last time...and going by the synopsis it seems that he gets on very well with Eleven too....he definitely needs a trip onboard that Tardis!!!!

Doesn't the Doctor drink tea? With biscuits?

Or do you think the lovely Captain Jack might want a good coffee maker?

I'd love to see Clyde in Doctor Who as a full-time companion - surely his days in SJA are becoming numbered as the kids are all out of CBBC's target audience range now?

Here's a review of 'The Nightmare Man' eps 1 & 2 by the way,

well you mentioned him being in Torchwood, and in Torchwood it's all about the coffee....

The problem is, Clyde is grounded to Earth by the Judoon (see ep: "Prisoner of the Judoon").

I'm sure the Doctor (or Moff) can get around that little difficulty

I'm not really a SJA fan but i actually really enjoyed this ep!

The nightmare man was scary, but elderly sarah jane was by far more terrifying!

Someone already mentioned on another thread that perhaps Martha's compensation slip from the Judoon could be used to get around this little trifling matter!

I'm sure she could be back to give it to him later (but that might annoy cloudfactory too much - both Clyde and Martha together on screen...)

Part 2 seemed a bit rushed and was clearly just a vehicle for Luke to leave.

Spoiler
We'll be seeing a bit of development on that this series I believe, as the team go to another planet

Ended up watching Part 2 of TNM on iPlayer on the laptop owing to an unscheduled children's birthday party (unscheduled cause I almost forgot I was supposed to be going ) but still agree with those who say this two-parter was the most impressive thus far.

I think it's incredibly easy to forget you're actually watching children's TV when you're watching SJA - I don't watch much else on CBBC but the quality of production they achieve on what must be a relatively restricted budget is incredible.

Julian Bleach: what can you say? A candidate for scariest man in the Universe bar none...I still had his face in my mind when I went to sleep: God alone knows what I would have done aged six.

Sad to see Luke and K9 go but glad to see Rani going from strength to strength (and towering over the lovely Clyde, bless) and talking of Clyde: I'm in the send him to DW as a companion camp when he decides to leave SJA.

Finally, Lis Sladen: what a star she is. Clearly her time with The Doctor paid off as she has that great ability to let the kids know everything will be alright whenever she's onscreen.

All in all? A sterling return for a great show. 5/5.

That is one of the best things about Clyde - he is such a grounded individual!

Pretty scary performance by the Nightmare man, but it would have been ten times better if they had finished his make-up, which seemed to cover only his face.
The back of his neck, his scalp and even his ears were lovely humanoid pink!

I thought the point was that he was face-painted as a disturbed Clown therefore his face was all that would be made-up...I may be wrong but that's kind of what I assumed.

gorgeous? are you off your head? i cant belive somebody who looks like that could be considered gorgeous. he is incredibly ugly and would totaly ruin doctor who if he were to be come a companion. i think its highly unlikely that will ever happen though. thankfully.

ds rules ban criticising certain things so I won't even begin to go there: your Trolling in respect of Clyde, however, ought to be brought to book because...you hear that laughter? It's not with you...it's just near you...now, I would respectfully ask you to please desist in your unwarranted personal attacks on people you have never met let alone know: this Forum and these Threads are for discussion and debate, not vitriole.

I'd like to add brilliant acting by the Tommy Knight (Luke), Daniel Anthony (Clyde) and Anjli Mohindra (Rani). They've all seemed to really grown up.

i am debating how bad clyde is to the show,so i see nothing wrong with that. just because there are people on here who mistakenly think he is good shouldnt stop me from telling the truth.

I wouldn't waste your breath, John - just a quick look at his posting past lets you know what kind of a 'person' he is. And that he either can't see, or refuses to believe that he is the only one with that opinion, even if he does try to disguise it as not liking the acting...
