I find it incredible that Cloudfactory can even describe what he says about Clyde as "debate"

To debate something, you need to weigh up the good as well as the bad. From what I've read, the only thing that cloud syas is that clyde is sh*t.

Boring and repetetive

Loved The Nightmare Man, and can't wait for next week!

I interviewed SJA co-producer Phil Ford yesterday and he revealed that he'd 'love to see' Tom Baker in the show, which would be amazing!

He also discusses whether SJA and Doctor Who still exist in the same universe, if the show could continue without Lis Sladen and if CBBC are concerned about the characters getting older...

The full interview is up here!

Clyde is the best character ever to appear in a doctor who related show, tis a well known fact. He makes Captain Jack look like Captain Pugwash!

I'm only sorry Clyde plays such a great part in The Sarah Jane Adventures because it rules him out of playing the Doctor himself in DW.

Wouldn't he make a brilliant Doctor?

I enjoyed this opening two-parter. My only complaint is that Sarah Jane didn't really do anything, or solve anything. I think that is a bit remiss in the opening story to her own series.

Really liking Clyde. But sorry to say I am glad Luke has gone. Tommy Knight did a great job, but I never really took to Sarah having a child.

Its one of the best kids tv dramas since the demon headmaster and Sarah seems to look younger by every series ax

and what do you mean by what kind of a person i am? are you trying to insinuate something?

I'm so very sorry that you don't seem to like Clyde very much You seem to be in the minority in that.

Perhaps you should try and see why we all like him so much? Or alternatively, you could stop watching the programme?

I'm sorry, too, that you find my opinion ridiculous. I could say the same to you, except I wouldn't dream of being so rude, so I'll just say "Germino"

Yes i agree, and of course the spoilers from the BFI screening could arguably be paving the way for this when you think about it, after all The Moff is nothing if not creative! How marvellous!

this will never happen. they wouldnt choose an incompetant actor to play the doctor.

See now, Matt Smith was disappointed they never gave him a hat for the role, but Daniel Anthony already has a suitable hat for the task:

Clearly it is already as good as a done deal!

How lovely that this thread is full of people full of appreciation for this fine actor. I can't see a single disenting post, this is almost unheard on here....jolly good!

No. But they might choose a supremely competent actor like Daniel Anthony.

I think that is a fantastic idea and something I hope Moff does consider Muttley.

I'd also like to see someone like Preeya Kalidas play the companion. It could bring a fresh Bollywood twist to the whole proceedings. I'm quite fed up of companions from Britain. I'm sure the Doctor could land somewhere more exotic and pick up a companion.

This is a marvellous idea! I think having an ethnically diverse cast is just what the show needs as we move in to the future!

That's a lovely picture of Clyde. He really is a good-looking boy.

I agree both average episodes , I give them 3/5 , it seemed to have been padded and stretched to two episodes when it could have been better as just one

I have a message from Clyde himself to a certain DS member:

Thought the episodes were great, and agree that they're the best series openers to date - quite creepy! Its a shame that Tommy's gone, I loved Lis playing an old version of herself though! Clyde conitues to shine and Rani is getting better, especially compared to how near-intolerable she was in series 2!!

Certain you weren't just cheesed off at her for not being Maria? 'Cos I was!

well probably partly yes, but even watching back now she just had strange facial expressions and was fairly wooden... but I definitely lamented the loss of Maria!

I don't normally watch The Sarah Jane Adventures but had some free time and decided to catch up on iPlayer - I'm glad I did! It was a thoroughly enjoyable story, with an important real life issue at its heart. Quite spooky as well for a SJA episode
I hope the standard is maintained

I agree that Clyde would make a great companion for the Doctor.

It wasn't so much the loss of Maria I lamented as her dad - I miss Alan!
