The decision was made the weekend of the show. Before then, TNA were going to put the title on Roode. As for Roode showing nothing in the match against Angle, it doesn't matter who was wrestling Angle, he's f*cked. He reportedly lay on the floor after the match because he's so physically beaten. That's why the Storm won in a minute. This is TNA. Here's the passages from the last weeks WONewsletter: Quote:

So Hogan publicly buries Roode, yet now the title in on him? Yeah, that makes sense. Also TNA stupidly blowing through a 6-12 month story in 2 weeks.
But none of that matters anyway, because it will undoubtedly be a background fixture as time must be made for a storyline involving Eric Bischoff and his son. |

Very good main event. TNA's production staff got it right as well. Bravo.

JamesStorm's theme song is sweet. Love how he is now firmly a main event man. I totally dig his character.

I feel completely jaded with this company at the moment and I am shifting slowly back towards WWE, where young talent is actually pushed from the get-go.

TNA just shot an injury angle for Jeff Hardy for the show airing on January 29th here, I would assume they don't think the UK will allow him to enter this country, being a recently convicted felon and all.

I noticed actually that they've decided to have the TV Title defended every week on Impact - the announcement is in a few weeks apparently.
Took them bloody long enough .. |

I like the idea of the TV Title being defended every week. Although this does mean we get to see a Devon match every week :yikes:
I also like the idea of the monthly Fight Night specials. |

the fight night specials are a good idea indeed, just have to see if it works out.
i'd be inclined to put the TV title on Styles and let him run with it. He'd certainly raise the profile a lot more than Devon. |

Tbh I think the only reason the TV title is on Devon is because he was brought in on the Dudley Boyz contract, but after the split, he's been sitting there being paid what must be a relatively handsome sum for very little work at all. It's been Bully Ray who has truly excelled.

Going to watch this later with my son. I haven't really watched that much TNA over the years, but glad they are trying to continue to push on. Not sure I can get on board with the former WWE mid-cards and more Hogan and Flair etc, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

I liked the Angle at the end of the show. Supposedly the crowd was very hot throughout the show, but I think the crowd was slighty stunned at first with Bully turning.
Only problem being is if we're heading towards a Hogan vs Bully match in 2013. |

The way Im thinking its heading to Bully v Aj Styles at BFG. Aj is going to come back and save TNA from Ace&8s.

It's probably the most likely given the AJ reboot storyline. Hogan shouldn't be in the ring with anyone, especially with him getting surgery again.
