I assume you mean Tina

Yeah Ian would have worked well with Tina. Both share a similar height

It's been proved in the Dance Troupe that Ian doesn't need a 6' tall Amazon to dance with - he can manage quite well with a much smaller partner, so I really can't see why the BBC demoted him. At first I could believe that they didn't have a really tall female celeb this year, but that doesn't wash any more. BIG mistake on the BBC's part - especially when you look at someone like Jared being brought in to replace him.

I'll sign and I'm not even a particular Ian fan, but he, Darren and Lilia really "get" the whole ethos of the show and therefore I miss them all madly both on the main shows and ITT. It was fun to see Darren popping up on ITT earlier in the week - just re-inforced how much he's missed IMHO.

I'd also love to see Karen back - as a judge if not a dancer. Surely that panel is crying out for one of the pro's who has actually been through the process and therefore has both the emotional inside track AND critically, the expertise. If the new Producers wanted to spice things up that's where they needed to look not ditching some of the audiences favourites or messing around with props and faffy intros

If they had to get rid of any of our regular male dancers, I'd much have preferred to see Vincent and Anton gone. I've never taken to Vincent as a personality, and apart from the AT don't normally go for his choreography much (I do appreciate lots of people will disagree, but that's my personal view). As for Anton, well sadly his Latin's so under-par it's impossible to put him with a serious contender now but in contrast, his ballroom is so expert you could easily imagine him shining in a specialist "this is really how you do it" pro spot which would be far more entertaining than the so far underwhelming troupe numbers have been.

While I agree with you about Anton, I think he's the only one who could have been paired with Ann. Perhaps next year they'll shake up the pros again and bring back Ian, Matt, Darren and Lilia, and demote Anton and Erin.

Maybe one of the professionals will get chicken pox. Is that mean?

Not if it's means they reinstate Ian.

Agree with welsh ex pat that Ian, Darren, Lilia (and Matt) 'get' the whole ethos of the show and I can't really see any of the new pros doing that. Poor Jared just seems out of his depth with the choreography and his own dancing.

I thought it was mad, when Karen went. Now we've lost Matthew, Darren, Lilia and Ian as well. Bring Ian back please whoever decided to demote him ! He's a brilliant, dancer and choreographer and lots of fun, too. It makes no sense at all.....

I miss Ian too, especially some of those outfits

On a serious note, he was always so lovely and supportive with his celeb partners.

So cross with the producers. The professionals are as much part of the programme as the celebs for me.”

I'll sign as well, and we can also do a petition for Matt while we're doing them. If they can'tr dance at least have them back on ITT, or as roving reporters.

Signed and we'll have Matt and the Bennetts back while we are at it. Oh and don't demote Anton and Erin. Anton comedy gold this year, and bless her Erin is doing her best with Shilts

And I miss Karen and Camilla

I think a funnier pairing would have been Ann and Vincent. Anton realises the role he has to play but I'm thinking the miscommunication between Ann and Vincent would have been comical gold

Don't even say that to the Vincent fans

You never know Anton might be lifting it this year - and when you think he should have won with Lesley Garrett what a strange twist of fate it would be

I miss Ian too, and Darren and Lilia and Matthew Cutler.

Agree! A couple of show dances are just NOT a big enough Ian Fix.

I really miss Matt Cutler, but like all of you Ian ,Darren and Lillia too...such a waste of skilled and technical dancers and fantastic choreography, strange when you think they've all won Strictly, and Ian almost, but they're relegated??/..I'm afraid I'm underwhelmed by the new additions, not because they're new, simply because they're not as good as the professionals the BBC decided to get rid of...Bring back Matt Cutler ASAP...pleaseeeeeeeeeee.

I think Karen would make a fab judge - much better that Alisha who so obviously out of her deapth!

I always think Claire should have won series one, not Lesley (or indeed Natasha).

Hurray, applause. Well said. Totally incomprehendable.

Jared is too young and is nowhere near any of the other pros as far as talent and choreography is concerned.

Robin's dancing is awful and is choreography is for himself not his celeb partner. So far out of Patsy's reach. Not a good teacher.

Artem is a lovely dancer and choreographer but I HATE the DWTS style that is being shown this year. Awful

Agreed. After what I've seen so far I miss ALL of the guys who have left or been dropped from the show

What bugs me most of all is that I'm sure that once upon a time the show had ballroom routines that actually looked like they'd been lifted straight out of a Fred Astair movie or a palace ball...Now the theme appears to be more like a bad Butlin's cabaret

Well put. I've been trying to figure out how to articulate that, but spot on!

To re-iterate the thread title, I MISS IAN!!!

Appears? I don't think there's any appears about it. The Beeb underlined their intentions by rummaging in the costume archive until they'd found a pair of Spike Dixon's comedy trousers for poor Artem to wear.
