You mean Francis/Jenny, whose hair colour changes from blonde to brunette?

Hang on she also says 'you can go through to the boardroom now'.

She has to get up at silly o'clock in the morning to tell them where to go to.

Is she not his actual secretary, and just doing her job? I always assumed so, that the "LS wil see you now" was just part of that? No?

No she's an actress apparently. According to imdb her real name's Samantha Moon.

Must be hard for her to remember all her lines - there are so many.

Surely that isnt his real office?? and she isnt his real receptioist?? and they dont really live in that house?

If I recall, the office is fake, Sugar doesn't have his office in central London, the receptionist is fake (as mentioned above, she's an actress). As for the house, if they don't do tasks each day - I assume not - there's no reason to live there all the time.

Also, a lot of reaction shots on the show can be faked. For example, someone can be saying something and then the editor will find a shot of another person frowning but that may not be a genuine reaction at that moment in time. The editor can alter the reaction shots to make some candidates look worse.

Or as Jon Culshaw says on The Impressions Show ..... "Actress pretending to be a receptionist.. you can show them in now"

I remember hearing that they actually do two or three tasks a week

As far as I am aware they live in the house full time until they get fired. Am sure somebody left in one of the earlier ones when he was missing his family.

That would be Ifti (S3), although unlike Raleigh that was shown in the boardroom.

The office is, of course, a set.

They do the tasks one after another, a new task every 2 days. That's why they're all so tired all the time.

we always refer to the receptionist as *Fake Frances* - the real Frances was interviewed in a magazine last season, I'm sure that she was in her 50's.

It's not Lord Sugars real office, his real office is in Brentwood. I think Lord Sugar only works as a Consultant, for his company, as i think he sold Amstrad.

BSkyB accquired Amstrad completely in 2007. Sugar stayed on for a while as an advisor to the new MD. It's still based in Brentwood but think Sugar's involvement with it is now zero. He's into the property development game and Amsair, his executive flying company, plus being a lord.

It's a set. A real office wouldn't have room for the cameras.

They do tasks back to back, 2 or 3 a week, but there is time in between. However, they are pretty much confined to the house and denied contact with the outside world. They get one phone call to family at weekends. It's done partly to stress them, along with the sleep deprivation.

I don't think we've had a good look at the "secretary" this year. We've just seen her hand and heard her voice.
