I had chickenpox when I was 17, it was really bad and I was off school for a whole week Felt miserable the whole time too and I wished I had got it as a kid. Don't think any of my classmates were affected though as they had all had it as kids.

Another adult chickenpox survivor here (I was 30 when I had it) - I'm quite hardy but it was truly vile and the after-effects lasted quite some time.

Do hope Tina has a mild dose - but even then I doubt she'll be coming back to the programme.

That's a real shame. I'd say I hope Jared is in a pro dance on Saturday, but unless they're bringing back proper pro dances to the music acts he most likely won't be dancing at all, will he? If Tina does have to pull out, he'll have had a worse first series than any of the new pros have for a while now. Especially if he can't do what Aliona did last year and just appear in all the pro dances. Poor guy, I really feel for him.

I know and if he does not get a chance to prove himself in the pro dances, I doubt he would be asked back next year.

Hopefully things will turn around for him because I would like to see him be given a chance.

That's what had just occurred to me as well, Lilli. He's barely had a chance to do anything as yet, and I was looking forward to seeing what else he came up with, especially I really enjoyed his foxtrot choreography.

Given the number of posters on here reporting that they had CP after puberty, I wouldn't be at all surprised if at least one other contestant or pro is incubating it right now.

It gets worse the older you get too - I copped for it at 37 owing to some woman getting in a lift with me with her spotty baby in a trolley . Was in bed going roasting hot and freezing cold two days before an important exam, thought it was just flu and managed to get to the exam two days afterwards, then woke up with spots 24 hours later. No doubt I could have inadvertently infected someone before knowing I had it - the doc said you really should stay away from others for at least two weeks after the spots appear. I stayed off work that whole time and really only by the end did I stop itching and feeling internally weird. Sincerely hope the older contestants in particular are all immune.

ohhh am really sorry for Tina - it's a horrible thing to have. Really hope, as someone said, that it's only a mild dose and she will be much better soon.

Also feel for Jared - hope he doesn't get it again, and am so sorry for his family not being able to watch them dance this week.
