Apologies if this has been discussed before on here, I'm sure it has but I've only just discovered this brilliant album. I picked up the CD for £2.00 at a CEX store based on the fact I vaguely remembered her singing 'The Flood' on some TV show and thinking it was pretty good. But even that didn't let me in on just how experimental this album really was! There are so many fantastic tracks on here; I've never bought a Katie Melua album before but I gather that the others aren't as good as this one-can anyone back this up? Anyone else love 'The House'??

her best album by far! i personally always thought that she was a bit too mellow for me, strong voice but her style was so different and not for me.

My mum being a fan has Piece By Piece and The House i got for her brthday in the summer, and i read it was produced by WIlliam 'Madonna's Ray Of Light' Orbit and wow! he really adds an edge and Katie's voice is as strong here as ever before

and glad she FINALLY converted me over all the hype, an underrated EPIC album of 2010 i must say it's a gem. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars, very very good indeed

Bit ironic, I was listening to her this morning.

I only have The Flood and Happy Place but they are both fantastic songs, i love her lyrics and her image, shes a fantastic lady.

Mrs. Bleads bought it when it first came out. Personally I thought it was absulute drivel.

I love Katie. It's disappointing she's had to cancel gigs this year due to exhaustion. I'd like to see her perform one day.

My favourite album of hers is Pictures, though. The House is great but Pictures has grabbed me the most out of all her albums to date.
