Every time I see the morning phone call and their bleary faces, I get stressed out on their behalf. Even though I know its not real.

I fondly remember one episode in a previous series where there was all the "wake up everyone! Cars in 30 minutes" hysteria, and it then cut to a shot of some bacon sizzling away in a pan

It takes me between 15 - 20 minutes to get up, shower, brush my teeth, change and leave the house. I have breakfast at work and don't feel the need to wear make up.
I love my bed and i don't get up until the last minute for work.
Ian from 2 years ago said on twitter (he now works for BBC Leicester) that it takes 2 hours to mic up, so probably 30 minutes until that begins maybe?

Two hours in total, one at a time? I didn't quite believe it either
I take an hour and half to get ready in the morn, maybe can squeeze it to 1 hour. How many bathrooms in the house? A lot getting ready in one go must create queues

To be ready in plenty of time, the girls could all shower together, or even the whole group shower, and they'd be done in about 5 minutes. Putting on clothes isn't that long. Make-up etc could be done in a short time too. If the contestants are keen people they could do it easily.
I also noticed that someone mentioned it was the middle of the night when they got the call and when they were leaving the house, it was light! Alex was also fully dressed when he answered the phone IIRC.

It is unbelivable unless they have ten showers.
I just don't see how the candidates can leave the building looking as neat and tidy and wide awake as they do in just 30 minutes.

That's great. And maybe you'd be just as quick even if you knew you were going to be on TV that day. No need to make a special effort just because you'll be seen by millions of people (and your mum).
I suspect the women who appear on The Apprentice are more the type who do care about their appearance. They probably think of it as marketing rather than vanity.

and the camera crew film them all waking up too, so reckon them clambering up the stairs with all that gear makes more noise than the phone ringing downstairs

I would get the housekeeper to do it but its the same outcome
