Hi i live in the midlands (staffordshire) and occassionaly am having problems sending text messages. I get the error cannot send and also when trying to call it will come up with call failed. I have tried contacting 02 via their website and they are to be frank a complete waste of time! Eadh time i tell them i get the same reply back no help what so ever- even though im trying to help them!
My friends also have the same problems an dother things happen such as sending only one text but the person who receives it may get it 5 times!

Does anyone know an email address for 02 that is a bit higher up in the company?

regards

Paul

The odd text message dose send first time. now and again when I try to look to see how much money I have left on my 02 pay and go mobile it says network prob. Phoning from my 02 mobile seems to be fine just now. Im almost 12miles north of Edinburgh.

I dont usually have any problems with o2, it may be because its a busy period when you try to phone/text. I cant often text with o2 at a football match because so many people are texting or using their phone.

It seems to me that 02 doesnt have a very good network. When i was on orange even though the call charges and texst wernt as cheap as 02 at least all calls made would get through and the same with text messages.

That dosen't mean a thing. You could reverse it and say o2 had a perfect signal in Place X while Virgin had no signal in Place X.

I been told by 02 to take out my sim card and give it a wipe to see if that helps. They always seem to tell you this and its no always the sim thats at fault. Now and again it says network problem when I try to look to see how much money I have left on my 02 pay and go. Most text messages do go first time but the odd text message dose say massage failed to send. I have had this problem since last thursday morning. 02 dont seem to be very helpfull saying my sim or hanset could be faulty. I only had my handset since January. The sim card im using is out my old handent and my last handset was not really a great one but I have had no problems with this handset up untill 4 or 5 days ago. Hope it all gets sorted soon 02 dont seem to say if its a network problem. Is it a network problem.

as i work for o2, i can actually tell you , that there is logic to that,, as dust can interfere, BUT i admit, if they dont know a cure, they tend to feed that shit out all the time!!!! i used to work in customer services, and i heard it all the time, i work in accounts/collections now, (bit of promotion ) so i dont have to say it anymore, if they dont wanna give us money, we dont wanna know and pass it to customer services!!!!

going by what you said, i would try doing a manual network selection, this has been known to sort out problems you are describing.....
also re the sim in the old handset, the old sims are 3 volts(i think... remembering back..) and the new fones (ie mms camera etc) are 4.5 volts, that is why there might be problems, and if its an old fone( meaning like a grandad fone) you prob need a new sim, and they should replace it free of charge!!!!!!...... so i wouldnt say they were faulty, just not compatable...

Text has been working fine for the last 2 day just when looking at how much I got on my mobile it says network problem at times. Its Sony Ericsson T230 I now have and have really had no problems with it up untill a week ago. The c45 I used to have seemed to play up every once in a while.

You pay for what you get. Orange is a powerful network and can offer 99% coverage in the UK however the calls can be slightly more expensive they are trying to match O2's competitive rates, for instance offering 500 weekend texts instead of 300 anytime texts.

I have heard Organe is a good network but dear on calls. Orange only Seem to offer £20 top up cards Whitch I no like. we all know Top up cards will soon be done away with and Vodafone has started doing this. Im no keen on Vodafone although they seem to have a 99% network covarge or the T-Mobile and Virgin mobile nextworks. Virgin do have cheaper text and calls but not as good network covarge. 02 have 98%-99% nextwork covarge in the UK. I cant say anything about 3 as I dont know much about them. Every mobile network seems to play up once in a while I think. I have been with 02 for just over 4 years and was with 0ne2one(T-Mobile) for just over a year before that and that was a poor servive. T-mobile maybe a little better now i dont know.
