Nice one, if I can suggest a couple of my favourite hip hop acts:

Cypress Hill - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXJemMbUFYU
Wu Tang Clan - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HpD_v4lYs8
Ice Cube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4UqMyldS7Q&ob=av2n

This is all a bit old though!

I'm not really any good at suggesting songs for people, but the 10 best-selling hip hop songs from last week are:

1. Written in the Stars - Tinie Tempah & Eric Turner
2. Love the Way You Lie - Eminem & Rihanna
3. Billionaire - Travie McCoy & Bruno Mars
4. Airplanes - B.o.B & Hayley Williams
5. The Recluse - Plan B
6. Green Light - Roll Deep & Tania Foster
7. Turn My Swag On - Greg Street, Soulja Boy & Keri Hilson
8. Pass Out - Tinie Tempah & Labrinth
9. Wonderman - Tinie Tempah & Ellie Goulding
10. Frisky - Tinie Tempah & Labrinth

I've included songs that have some hip hop influence, but songs like The Recluse and Green Light probably aren't even 50% hip hop, so they might not be what you're looking for.

Tinie Tempah has 4 songs in the best-selling hip hop songs from last week, because he just released a #1 album, so people were buying lots of his songs. It wouldn't normally be like that.

But as I said before, none of those songs are 100% hip hop, since if you want to sell a lot, you have to mix them with other genres so that they appeal to more people. For example, Written in the Stars has a bit of rock in it, Green Light is largely influenced by dance music, The Recluse has a lot of Soul and R&B in, etc. I'd say Airplanes and Love the Way You Lie are probably closest to pure hip hop. However, I do quite like it when you have interesting combinations of genres in one song sometimes. Just not when there's so many mixed in that you can't tell what genre it is, and it just sounds generic.

I'm not 100% sure what you're looking for, but I think checking out the hip hop songs a lot of other people are liking at the moment is a good start. If you like any of them, you could check out their other songs and albums.

You need to listen to Method Man or NAS.
