Seems that ABC is relaunching "Skating with Celebrities" (2006) as "Skating with the Stars" . Cast will be named on the "Dancing with the Stars" results show shown in the US on 2 November.
US version of DOI
Will be interesting to see this - I wonder if this will get shown over here like DWTS is on Watch.
Will also be interesting to see who they have as the pro skaters - will they go for big names or will it be more like DOI where they have a show skating background?

And I heard a rumour they plan to do a show swap- I.e- have a pro dancer from DWTS take part as a contestant on this.

there are rumours that Johnny Weir is to be a judge on there. He has said he is re-choreographing his Poker Face routine for the show so he is at least doing a guest routine on there. will be worth watching just for that.

If you watch the trailer you can see 2 pro skaters that DOI fans will know. It seems we've lost Fred & Mel to the US show 
Johnny Weir has confirmed that he will be a judge on this show. it starts on nov 22nd on ABC. so hoping it will be shown over here on some channel

Well, this show is the American version of Strictly Ice Dancing. Tess is a co host on Strictly Come Dancing, so that's probably how they got Vernon. It's all about connections.
So we have someone married to a Strictly Host hosting, a skater from Dancing on Ice as one of the pro skaters and one of the judges from the first season of Battle of the Blades judging. (Guess that is why he didn't return for Season 2.)
