True, katie_P, in all honesty, I'm just trying to find a way for poor Ann to dance the Tango next week rather than Charleston lol

Definitely the right person went out tonight. Although I wouldn't have been that bothered if Michelle had gone. She just seems so awkward when she dances.

what I want to know is when will we get the return of the reigining champion or has Chris been forgotten about by the PTB that call themselves producers

He keeps saying on Twitter that he and Ola haven't been asked back, and I don't see how they can be asked to do their Charleston now.

Maybe in the semi-final or final, although I hope someone thinks it's a sensible idea now that Ola has time to do some training with him. They could do their Foxtrot in Blackpool again. Might suggest that to the BBC on Monday!

Well that'll almost definitely be a genre switch then, I had a feeling Ann was talking about the Charleston when she was talking about her dance for next week being beyond even her imagination!

So Tango:
Pamela & James
Felicity & Vincent
Jimi & Flavia
Gavin & Katya
Michelle & Brendan
[Tina & Jared, if she's recovered]

Charleston:

Ann & Anton
Scott & Natalie
Matt & Aliona
Kara & Artem
Peter & Erin
Patsy & Robin

What - that is a rotten way to treat the reigining champions. We had to suffer Lisa Snowdon in the final last year. We wantg Team Cola reunited

I see it the other way around. Last week I thought the judges were unnecessarily harsh. She was no worse than many of the other contestants indeed, was placed mid-table with an alright score) and yet she got by far the worst comments, with not ONE positive word, not even a "Michelle, your eyeshadow looks fabulous and goes well witht hat dress!" from Alesha, who is vacuous enough to make comments about appearance to almost everyone else.

Tonight's comments I thought were relatively well balanced and had to be reasonably positive just to balance out how much they were hurting her last week.

Oh thank-you! I will sort of miss Paul though - he was trying very hard this week I thought!

I'm really starting to think that the judges' vote is political. They know who they want to keep...

Michelle looked as graceful as a stick insect tonight .
oh heck, , now I've got to apologise to the Society for the Preservationt and Promotion of Stick Insects!!

Her head is too big for that skinny body, and she keeps hunching her shoulders, and why the Pocahontas hairstyle to make the proportions even worse?

She can go next week.

You're only just starting to think that mrbernay? !!!

Best examples scoring Denise higher than Jill in the semi final of series 2 in order to make sure Denise went through.Result: Julian stayed and Aled left .
Persistent over scoring of Emma Bunton etc

Thank you for the result, ladies Why did PD agree to do the show if he was just intent on sodding about?

Thanks for the spoiler - can go to bed happy now!!

Reference earlier posts : I know there can be charleston-type steps in the quickstep but, thankfully, that's where any similarity ends!!

I'm glad Paul left (although i did think it was quite sweet how much he was trying)

I hope it doesn't knock Michelle too much, she doesn't seem to be enjoying herself.

Thanks for the result.

Phew! Couldn't bear to lose Brendan so early on. I think Len's advice was good for Michelle... lower heels woudl definitely help. She has long unstable legs. If they get the Tango next week it will help her ground more with the floor. With there being no rise and fall and having to keep knees slightly flexed it should help her balance if Brendan can sort out her posture.

Thanks for the spoiler!

On another note... I was impressed with Paul's practising and I didn't think he was at all as bad as they were making out. He tried really hard and I liked his magic tricks
