Love Tango - but I'm afraid of what they might do to it this year. Mind you I don't think I was mad about any of last years efforts.

Last good Tango I can think of is Rachel and Vincents.

Sad Paul is gone I love him would have prefered Michelle to go but I know there will not be many who share that opinion...

Even sadder to see that thing poor Anton has to drag around the dancefloor is still there though can't stand the sight of it!!

I find you second paragraph rather offensive. Ann is a person not a thing. You may not like her but there no need to be quite so rude.

With there being no rise and fall and having to keep knees slightly flexed it should help her balance if Brendan can sort out her posture.

Thanks for the spoiler!

Glad to see a friendly face (ok can't see your face but you know what I mean) over here. I, from my vantage point on the sofa week 1, made the lower heels comment to anyone who was listening. She seemed to teeter on the shoes! Week 2 (when I was in audience) preferred her ballroom as the dress helped to hide some leg. Don't want to loose Brendan too soon but way glad I got to see him/them live last week. Would have been gutted had he/they gone before I got there.

Frankly I don't give two hoots about being rude about her. But you probably guessed that.

You may not care, but it is in the forum rules not to be offensive or derogatory towards anyone, and to call someone an 'it' could well be interpreted as derogatory, no matter how strong your feelings are.

Right, I may be dreaming this but did we really have PENNY LANCASTER (fit legs, bad Jive) who went out 4th back to dance last year?

How very rude!

Right result, but, must admit my money was on Michelle going.

I hope Michelle can turn it around, the trouble is, she has a huge mountain to climb.

I like the result, but I am surprised that Michelle was in the bottom two,I know that she isn't in the top mix yet, but imo she is so much better than Ann, Peter and Gavin. I hope that Ann will go next as I fail to see how anyone can call what she is doing entertaining, it is totally cringeworthy imho.

Quite. This kind of random rudeness has been allowed to proliferate far too much on DS in recent months.

Get yourself along to the General Discussion Forum and you'll see for yourself that rudeness on these boards is commonplace. But I agree, some on here go that further step just to be nasty. It's nice to be nice, remember!

On topic, I'm only sad to see Ola off the competition. Paul, as funny as he is, was a bit of an embarrassment.

I may not be enjoying watching Ann Widdecombe on Strictly but she's neither a "thing" nor an "it." What an incredibly rude and offensive post.

I thought Ann had improved since last week, and the effort she has put in shows. She deserves to be there a little while longer. Both Paul and Michelle have taken a step backwards (IMHO) so I'm not surprised at the result.

I don't find Gavin likeable or entertaining, or particularly competent so hopefull he will be out soon. I don't think Michelle will last long either. I do like her, but she doesn't seem to be able to get over the judges comments even if they are being nice! Maybe she just assumed that because she is young, fit and can dance she'd walk it to the glitterball and is finding it rather tougher than she thought it would be. Peter did surprisingly well I thought.

Couldn't agree more with Stewie's post.

While she may not be a brilliant dancer, Ann is thoroughly entertaining. She has actually improved too. Michelle does look very grumpy and awkward when dancing, and I think she deserved to be in the bottom 2.

With regard to that incredibly rude post about Ann being a 'thing' and an 'it', looking at the username, could it be a touch of jealousy

Seriously though, there is no need to be rude

Sorry if I sound a little bit stupid, and maybe this isn't the place for this question, but how come people know who's out already? I used to look on here for spoilers last year but I thought this year the results show was being filmed live so avoid spoilers being leaked... Have I misunderstood.... Is the results show filmed on Saturdays or Sundays? If it's a Sunday then Pasty did a great fake 'I can't beleive I'm still in' face last week!

Thanks for the spoiler, very sad to see Ola go, but very glad that she doesn't have to dance with Paul anymore.

renosparks - the results are filmed on Saturday and broadcast on Sunday.

That sums it up really, just hope we see Ola and Kristina in a lot of pro numbers now, I really wouldn't mind if they replaced 2 of the dance troupe girls as well as doing the competing pros' numbers...

The results show never has been and never will be live - what's the sense in dragging all the dancers back to London and a new audience just for half an hour? The pros record their number while the voting is taking place (or before the live show), they record the results after the lines close and are all in the bar by about 10pm, allowing them to do as they please on Sunday instead of having to work every day, although most choose to train on Sunday anyway.

You can't avoid spoilers being leaked, what we can do is avoid them going any further and upsetting people who don't want to know by only discussing them in this thread.

Thanks to everyone for the spoiler results - it's saved me having to sit through that godawful revamped Results show.

The correct person went.

I agree. There was no need for that whatsoever. Ann seems like a nice lady and she competed last night having just lost her brother (who she was apparently very close to), clearly asking for it not to be mentioned.

My theory: I don't know whether the judges were asked/told to hold back a bit on criticising Michelle or not. But it was clearly the Great British Public's perception that they were. Since the GBP love a good slag-off, they took their revenge for being denied this.
