Looking at the times, the first post was made before the news about Brendan's loss was posted.
I agree that I wouldn't have been able to go on tv after such a devastating event as losing a parent.

In fairness the first people heard about Brendans fahter was in a post at 11 .52 . And that post was prior to that news .

Did Brendan's Dad live in Oz or over here? Will Brendan be here next week and if not, is my vague memory of a stand-in pro taking over in one previous series correct?

I think Ian would do wonders for Michelle's attitude, and to be honest, she seriously needs it or she's probably gone next week. Only a Gavin gaffe (in an interview, not a dance) could save her.

I still think Peter's going: I find him rather humourless and with zero charisma. Then I would hazard a guess that he is followed by Michelle, Patsy and Tina in that order.

I say this every year but I wish the spoiler thread would just be started by the person who has the information and not the person who wants to know as you have to go through pages of faff that could be entered elsewhere.

Poor Brendan. Their whole demeanour last night is now explained.

I agree, too. It can be difficult to find the result amongst all the pointless chatter, and you never know when the result is actually in.

I too love it but if I am busy and can't read it all I skip until about 10.15 on the posts and then go back when I do have the time. We re all in this together so why fall out over something like this. If it wasn't for the chit chat we wouldn't know who was out!!

I commented last night when this post came through. I find it offensive and, as you say, Anton would be appalled at such a comment.

There could just as easily be a 'discuss the show whilst we wait for the spoiler' thread, and a separate thread which is actually the spoiler though.

In the past when I cared what the result was I sometimes checked it on my mobile... it's not quite as easy to find the relevant post when you're doing it that way.

In fairness, this is a discussion forum so chatter should be allowed but my point was the thread says "Spoiler 16 Oct" which makes you think it will be the first thread, then you go through trying to find it. I love the forum, I love the pointless chatter but I want the spoiler to be found easily....Pointless chat and the wait can happen anywhere

The fact I want to know a spoiler shows paitence isn't one of my virtues or I would be waiting for the Sunday show!!

Pointless discussion is the point of this forum but I do think the spoiler thread should be started with the spoiler!

I did but there is chatter there which obviously you would expect as people will post and dissect, which is why I posted! I thought Peter had gone but only relaised it was Paul as i saw ola mentioned, I never found the original spoiler!!

It's easy to start another thread that says something along the lines of 'spoiler: read only' if you really can't be bothered to skim read a few pages. Otherwise for future reference, the spoiler never comes in before about 10.15pm, so go to posts after that time
