Definatley don't want Arlene back, would prefer a pro dancer to replace Alesha.

Arlene is too busy anyway with other stuff, so the chances of her returning are nullified. I'm afraid to my mind Alesha has cemented herself, so we are stuck with her.

I forgot to mention we have to ask ourselves to real reason behind Arlenes sacking.

I think Alesha is doing really well and she adds some much needed positivity to the judges remarks.

I find Alesha very patronizing, I usually fast forward her comments, when some one is good she adds nothing interesting. I think Karen Harding would be brilliant as a judge, she's great in choreography corner

I didn't think Alesha did that badly last year, but I think she has improved this year. She seems more comfortable and confident. Fair play to her, she has been given a rough time in the press. It wasn't that long ago everyone moaned about Arlene – I actually found her painful to watch sometimes.
Yes, I think it's awful there was blatant ageism in the decision to sack Arlene. Yes, there are people more qualified to do Alesha's job, but that's not what it's about. She's not judging a full on dancing competition, she is there as a former winner and somewhat talented semi-pro dancer herself (and when I say semi-pro, I mean, she's a pop star and she was paid and won a TV dancing competition). And honestly, all the snipping about her grammar, ey ey ey. Language is never static and evolves constantly – the standard English language we speak now is a bastardisation of what went before and what was previously considered 'good grammar'. What we are taught is 'good grammar' nowadays, (or even language deemed highbrow), was, at one point, as colloquial as Alesha's use of language today. I do wonder if there would be the same kind of backlash, if say, a former male contestant replaced Bruno, or any of the others. She is unlikely to be going anywhere this series, so perhaps you need to find ways to live with it. |

Alesha is pleasing on the eye, attempts to sound reasonably intelligent and is a plank in expressing knowledge of dance other than to see if the dancer(s) is enjoying themselves and has or has not musicality
The judges are there to judge, to assist learning dancers in the quest and to assist the non dancing public with expert feed back She fails and is consistent in failure |

I have found for the last two years I have had to record Strictly so I can fast forward Alesha or mute it while she is speaking,
I am 25 and do not find her apealing to a so called younger audience, Bring back one of the ex-pros (e.g Karen) who actually know what they are talking about, Last year I found her extremely rude when she said to Craig Kelly 'Zoe was voted off last week and I had to endure that'. How rude, we have to endure you everyweek unfortunately. |

I find I've got used to her to the extent that I tend to forget she's there. For each dance I wonder what Craig, Len and Bruno will say - then I remember, oh yes, there's Alesha too. For me she's gone from being extremely annoying (last year) to mostly bland and pointless (this year).

. For whatever reason Arlene had to go, instead of replacing her with a knowledgeable professional they thought it a good idea to have as Cheryl Cole equivalent. She is here to stay then it's so be it I guess. Does she actually say different things to different people?
