I know a lot of it is supposed to be in good humour but James should have more respect for Pamela and her age and stop flinging her on the floor so much .

Including quite a few of the pros (not just the pro dancers!!!!) on the show!

Agree. I think she is doing really well but I do not like all these plastic tight faces they look as though they have been let out of Madam Tassauds - like you say she does admit it but Felicity, Patsy and Pamela would have been a lot better leaving their faces as you cannot tell whether they are pleased with what the judges say or not as they cannot move them, cannot smile and it is weird. This year is the year of the facelift and botox and lipo - looks dreadful and its sad

Botox and fillers are now extensively used by your normal man/woman on the street (well, those who can afford it) so it is hardly surprising that people in the public eye and on HD TV regularly are going to take that route.

There are many women a lot younger than Pamela who have had "work done"...which is not the issue...fact is so far she's delivered on the dance floor.

WTF was with that dress though...is there someone in wardrobe given the brief each week for the most unflattering style/colour it's possible to give a woman

I only knew her from her comedy performances on Not The Nine O'Clock News long time ago, so everything about her now is a surprise to me.

I wonder where she came from to appear on this show though. I'm not in the UK, but has she appeared on television since her comedy work in the '80's? I must have missed that. I thought she and Billy lived in the USA?

Ann Widecombe looks like Pamela's mother and they're both near the same age. Pamela looks great.

Shr is now a psychologist. She did a series not so long ago where she did a psychological type interview with some celebs. I was not impressed. She is not a patch on the great Professor Anthony Clare.

Loving Pamela and James - I'm not normally a James fan.
What's doing it for me is her personality - she's really getting that across - and her dancing skills of course.
I almost feel sorry for Felicity - touted as the oldie in with a chance - she comes across as a bit "flat" even with Vincent as a partner...

Ah, thank you

I feel Felicity could do far better. Compared to Pamela, who oozes confidence and looks as if she feels very comfortable inside her skin, she comes across as rather insecure. But if she could let go, I'm sure she could be a good dancer. Her flexibility is amazing.

Been watching Pamela's Rumba again.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AnNfK4wajo

I think its easily her best dance so far and one it will be hard for her to surpass. I dont know the technical name for the swing round at the end, but it was beautifully performed too.

All women should learn to do that walk - I'm sure it makes Billy proud to watch her dance.

You know her personally do you?

So when do you meet with her to know so much about her?

I actually think she does look her age, whatever work she may or may not have had done. Her dancing is sublime, and as I watching her rhumba it gave me the impression of a woman dancing with the memory of a lover from her youth. She moves like a woman at least half her age, I love her.

Sorry, she's good but she really doesn't move like a 30 year old, unless one who is very stiff and unsteady on her feet. Pamela interprets the music really well and is an excellent performer but she's quite shaky in places both this week and last and her back and neck are relatively stiff. By all means enjoy the performance but lets not overstate her ability - although you are in good company given the over marking by the judges!

Felicity is older and she did the splits, and other moves I certainly couldn't do. I might be able to do them, but would get stuck in that position. Imagine being stuck with your bum off the floor and arms behind your head and hands flat on the floor...ouch....

Plus it should be noted that in age felicity (1946) and Ann (1947) are barely removed but in dancing skill they are worlds apart!

The point about Pamela isn't about the superficial issues of what her face looks like its that she seems fit, supple and in good working condition for someone 20 years younger.

Felicity has suppleness beyond her years and good fitness generally too.

Ann is about the same age.....

What you are looking at is the coming divide between the 60 year olds who are physically young for their age and the ones who are their age or older.Thats important because government is assuming everyone will be able to work on to 68 or 70 - you suspect because they assume everyone will be like Pamela when actually only a few will be that remarkable.

Pamela just defies logic. Not only her age, she isn't exactly sylph like, but she moves like a woman half her age and a good deal lighter. It's almost uncanny.

Maybe that's why she is almost overcome with emotion when she hears such praise from the judges. If she has spent years and years raising a family and one with special needs then this dancing is just for HER and her alone and must feel wonderful.

Come to think of it, she has kept her family life very quiet. I can't ever remember seeing pics of any of her kids. Unlike the Olivers, Ross family, Geldofs etc.”

I think this is irrelevant and patronising. As a mother, you can have multiple roles, with or without a child with special needs. You don't just get seen as a someone who has no life of their own.

What about her psychology? Is that just for her?

It doesn't surprise me that a 60 year old is a lovely, supple dancer because my mother is 60 and she's an even more beautiful dancer than Pamela. But while I do think she's funny and rather endearing, she's starting to come off as more fake than genuine in her reactions. She's a smart cookie and obviously knows how to play the audience but I hope she tones down the disingenuous thank you's over the next few weeks.

60 is very surprising as I thought she was at least 64.

I was fairly gagging with the faux humility Tangerine. I can't believe the ultra cool and right-on Pamela of my youth could be so plastic. She's either playing a caricature or turned into the very thing she was ripping a shred off 30 years ago.

Still at least she can dance

What's getting to me is this thing she has of putting her hands together as she says thank you - and OMG, just saw Matt on X Factor do exactly the same!
