If it is Tango and Charleston then the Charleston would have to be considered the Latin dance, even though it fits into neither category, simply because the Tango is Ballroom.

That's what I thought I do get confused though because I wouldnt have thought it a conventional latin like a salsa or samba (not that I profess to know - I freely admit to having no real idea about the technical side, I just love watching it )

yeah what is the Charleston classed as ? , because i remember there being an uproar about chris doing the charleston last year in the final as his latin dance when it wasnt even a latin dance lol

I'm still irritated the Charleston is being classed as a 'Latin' dance, but whatever.

So being that there are certain people who have done two in a row of one type we'd definitely have...

Gavin - Ballroom
Scott - ?
Matt - Latin
Peter - ?
Paul - ?
Felicity - ?
Pamela - Ballroom
Kara - Latin
Tina - ?
Michelle - ?
Patsy - ?

I'm hoping everyone has it wrong and it is indeed the Jive with the Tango.

The pros doing a group Charleston in the results show has me leaning towards the 'Latin' being the Charleston, which hopefully means the Rock n Roll has been dropped!

I would have thought it's likely to be a straight genre switch, and I did think Ann had the Charleston for this week if she's still in the competition from her comments last night.

I think those who have Quickstep and Charleston in a row- I'm thinking of Matt but there may be others- may score an own goal here. They will look great now, but both dances are crowd pleasers and can be used to great effect later in the show.

If Matt gets to Rumba in the last few weeks of the show, and comes up against a few Waltzes, Quicksteps and Charlestons, he may come to regret it.
