Katya is wasted on this fool

And of course it's all very easy, including the rugby, '71 degrees North' etc and anyone could do it, particularly people who spend a lot of spare time sitting at a computer.

it was very easy to see how introverted Gavin is. On the ITT with Aliona and Matt, and Claudia, there was lots of banter and extrovert body language from the others, although I'm not convinced Aliona is an extrovert:

Introverts absorb everything as their way of making sense of the world, doesnt mean to say that because they are not expressive, they are not feeling it.

not explained very well, I need Pammy to put me right

I think you have to consider all the contestants' backgrounds. We're so used to people on (reality) TV being confident, talking to camera and performing.

Most of the celebs are actors who have trained to work in front of cameras for years. Of course they look and sound better than someone who hasn't had this experience, (or if they have, they've only done in for a specific arena).

I find Gavin really funny. A lot of people don't realise when he's taking the p*** out of himself, they just think it's arrogance. He's quiet, but when he does talk he often has a really good point.

I wish Bruce hadn't made such a stupid remark before they danced on Saturday, you could almost see him tensing up, and he wasn't so close to Katya afterwards, which worried me. I hope they haven't fallen out, as they seemed really sweet a couple of weeks ago.

I was also concerned about the lack of content in the rumba compared to some of the other couples. Admittedly I don't know much about dancing, but he did seem to stand still A LOT. He'd seemed to master some basic steps, perhaps it would have been better, as in the waltz, to do the basics well rather than...stand around. Could any of the technical bods comment on this?

Kind of piddles on the partay doesn't it lol

Anyway, wherever this thread should be, nice to see the shy one has support and he's got some interest.

And his bum looks good. Apparently !

Ah yes - guess that would be inappropriate in Appreciation.

I think Gavin has come across as a very different character to what I was expecting.

I voted for him a couple of times last week - thought Craig's marking was tragic. How could he possibly give Ann and Gavin the same marks.?

(most of my vote went to Jimi then Patsy though).

Was an Ouch! moment that was. Gavin explained afterwards (I saw on ITT)
He said Craig has had a lobotomy rofl. Could be right actually by this evidence Seriously though, that's a puzzle isn't it.

I go swimming where Gavin's ex team trained sometimes. He is, shy. Ok he likes looking at himself. Can't say I blame him.

Of all the women pros, Katya is the one I find the hardest to warm to. That colours my view of them as a couple.

Well she isn't now - because she's dating her pro partner, Klaus nowadays.

I don't think she got married. She got engaged - but as she is now dating her pro partner Klaus Kongsdaal, I assume her engagement broke up.

'Slowly' being the operative word based on last weeks rumba

I think he's on a par with Peter Shilton, and Goldie had more natural dance talent than either of them.
As far as winning SCD is concerned, to quote Don King.. "He has Slim or no chance... and Slim's just left town".

Interesting interview on Alan Titchmarsh - it's in the tail end of the programme from around 35:25.

I agree with you. Katya certainly gets frustrated, and who can blame her? I don't think she and Gavin get on at all well, I don't think she'd be too sorry to be booted off .

Poor choice of song for the tango - he struggled with it.
