I've never warmed to the girl. She's taken on Erin's Miss Whiplash role IMHO but not entirely successfully. Phil Tufnell couldn't be arsed last year and I think that really frustrated her and this year Gavin seems unable to perform - at least he appears to be trying, unlike Mr Tufnell.

She has got a difficult job on her hands this year. I should think it's more than her experience has prepared her for when it comes to Gavin's lack of emotion - it goes against all his professional training. But I bet he's beating himself up for not performing and so there is always hope that they will have a breakthrough week - it has happened on most Strictly's I think.

Having met him at a charity do he realyy is nice, a little too tanned but really good company. In 77 degrees north he is compedative but happily makes fun of himself eg following a swim in below freezing water looks at his arms and says "well at least my tan's still there" or words to that effect. I reckon the Tango was the dance where Gavin had to deliver and he didn't. The song choice would have needed a good dancer to make it work.
There are still worse dancers on the show, but not many.
