Think that would be a great choice for Katie - especially if she had to sing it at the same speed as the original recording by the Isley Brothers. Unless she knew the lyrics inside out, she'd be in big trouble, as there are so many words & it's sung at break-neck speed.

I remember Alastair from FA2 being given this song & finding it almost impossible to learn - so a perfect song for Katie I'd say!!

Erm actually, its an Isley Brothers ORIGINAL, which Rod Steward COVERED!

Its quite a hard song to sing really...be interesting to see how she puts her own spin on it....

I think Eton Road also did a good performance of it on the X Factor (can't remember which year)?

Yes something to highlight the gravelly quality in her vocal.

I thought it was 80s week, if so there's no question that Katie should do something by Madonna or Cyndi Lauper, would suit her very well.

It isn't that well known. I am 29 and I actually quite like Rod Stewart. I adore Maggie May (loved Bens version many moons ago), his version of Have I told you lately is very good, and even 'do you think I am sexy' is good for a laugh.

I think if you asked many people do they know his version of song This Ol heart of mine, majority would say no...no matter what age.....

I actually prefer the orginal motown version of the song - but I cant see Katie singing it like that (think it would have been good for John though)

She did one croaky voiced song to save herself the other week and now they're turning her into Rod bleedin Stewart. They'll be wheeling her out wearing a tartan suit, a frightwig and singing I Am Sailing next.

And I would pay money to see that

Even better if she did 'Do You Think I'm Sexy' wearing leather kecks, a leopard skin jacket and a mullet.
