Only just got round to watching the final episode. Was so glad Amy made up with Kirk after the fight, who knows what may happen in the future with those two.
As I was just starting to like Mark, he plays those two girls off each other, while Lauren continues to dig herself an even deeper hole with her obsessive pining for him. Hopefully she'll watch this back and fly off to Dubai and get on with her life. Lucy should dump Mark though regardless after his actions. I couldn't stand Amy at the start, but has been the star of this programme, the date at the zoo with Kirk has to be the best scene of the series. Nanny Pat has also been a nice distraction from the OTT'ness of the younger members. Also solid performances from Sam, Arg (who needs to be in the titles), Candy, Harry, Jessica and Julian. |

Nah, Dilly's son Ben is really fit and could probably floor Mark with one swipe ( if he could be arsed),

The Christmas special should be good I enjoyed the whole series to be honest I'm pleased ITV2 have already announced a second series.
Like many I was gobsmaked when I saw the first episode, I then watched because I thought it was so bad it was good. It actually got better as it went on. I really enjoyed the last episode and thought it was well produced and 'acted'. Shame it was a short run, I'd have liked to have seen it up until a Christmas episode, then a return in the New Year. |

Amy grew on me too, same as Harry - I didn't like him at first but he's totally harmless. Sam I didn't like too much (bit of a stirrer IMO) and Lauren, well, she was just the opposite, I liked her at first but went off her by the end.
Someone really should start a petition to get Arg on the titles ....... wish it was on tomorrow. wonder what theyre up to now?

I think what I love most about this programme is the genuine love and affection between many of the cast. Arg and Lydia remain my favourite 'couple', when they got back together it was the sweetest part of the whole show. I really hope they get a bigger part next series, and hopefully it if carries on will cover their wedding ( well if they get married)
The bromance between Arg and Mark is very touching as well, nice to see Arg giving back some cheek to Mark, and the bond between cousins Harry and Amy is adorable. I also love the relationship between Nanny Pat and her grandchildren Mark and Jess Arg definitely needs to be put on the titles, he is as big a character as theothers, and Michael and Candy need to be removed. Next season I want to see more of Jess's personal life, more of Arg and Lyd, and more Ben please, Dilly he is gorgeous! |

I love Amy! Not liking the Lauren - Lucy - Mark thing. Mark didn't lie but didn't seem to tell the truth either. Not sure why Lauren looks happy to "share" her man either???
Love Args was just thinking he's the hidden gem. Can't wait for the xmas expisodes. |

Is this going to be repeated at all? I know the two specials are on this week on ITV2 but I'd like to watch it from the beginning.
Or is it online anywhere? Thanks. |

Apparently the media's idea of Essex is Ilford and Loughton, which are really part of London. Somewhere like Maldon is completely different.

As a Londoner I can categorically state that Ilford and Loughton are absolutely NOT part of London, although clearly this poster would like to disown them which is understandable, they can't just be geometrically palmed off like that unfortunately it doesn't work like that. I'm sure London would be happy to trade most of Harlesden, Hackney, and Tower Hamlets?
So everyone loses! |
