Just read online from two seperate sources that Brendan has flown home to be with his family following his fathers death yesterday.

Michelle will be dancing with Ian Waite until Brendans return.

I am hoping Ians long legs and height will somehow help Michelle and give her a bit of a lift ,she looks defeted and sulky .
I am sorry for Brendan and he must have been in a daze all night .

That's good. Michelle doesn't deserve to have to finish becaus of his but, equally, Brendan must have time to deal with this properly. I like the idea of Ian coming on board.

So i guess this won't be the week she tries out Len's advice to wear less heels.

Must be horrible for Brendan being so far from home. Hope he has a safe journey home

Im sure Ian fans will be glad hes had a temporary reprive (albeit in sad circumstances)

So sorry for Brendan. Must have been tough for him carrying on last night, but he's a true professional. I wish him and his family all the best at this sad time.

However, I can't say I'll be sorry to see Ian back, even if it is just for one week. I was saying only this morning how Michelle may have benefitted from his experience with long-limbed girls. Maybe he can give her some useful advice and boost her confidence a bit.

Condolences to Brendan and his family.

I wonder if Ian could make a difference to Michelle's dancing

Great to see Ian back in the fold but under such sad circumstances takes the edge off it

Totally agree. Not massively keen on Brendan, but Really feel for him.

Condolences to Brendan - horrible thing to happen but the distance makes it so much worse.

A lot is explained now about both Brendan and Michelle's demeanour last night.
It must have been such a struggle for them performing - respect to them both.

Michelle should be dancing a Tango so she couldn't be in better hands and Ian is so easy to get on with.

This thread annoyed me because it is actually a spoiler, so everyone who didn't want to know the outcome knew she'd get through, and know the result of the bottom 2. :/

I thought he looked a bit distance and looked underwhelmed yesterday

Condolences to Brendan

Why would it annoy you? You posted about it long after the results had gone out. Sure the thread was here first, but nobody else complained, so no harm was done.

It will be nice to see Ian back, he has a way of making tall gangly girls look elegant, so it will be interesting to see if Michelle dances any better with him!

I posted after the show but noticed it before so it spoiled the result for me!
I just think this thread could have been posted AFTER the results show, esp. as a lot of people thought Michelle might have been out. Fair?

You would expect Michelle to be far more elegant as obviously she's danced on stage before albeit a different style. But she doesn't even point her toes! Ann Widdecombe makes more effort now.

I wish she'd cheer up and look like she actually enjoys the show.

Give her a chance as she is a long way from home on her own, when she is used to being with the other girls. Hard for both of them last night,

Delighted to see that our Ian is dancing with her next weekend. As other have said he should be able to give her pointers as he is used to long limbed celebs, She will be in good hands. Also he is brilliant at the Tango

Well given that DS published it as a headline this afternoon you can hardly expect FMs not to discuss it! I understand Erin tweeted she and Peter were still in this afternoon. It just underlines how ludicrous the results show is!

Don't read the forums if you don't want the spoilers!
