It's funny though - I watched a program called Musicality which basically took people who thought they could sing and dance but didn't have the opportunity to train to do it and the four winners ended up in 'Chicargo' for one night only. What became obvious as they trained to take on their roles is that Bob Fosse productions had a very distinct dance style - which he freely admited was tailored to his own talents as a dancer - as one lad who was self taught in a different 'West Side Story' style had to unlearn a lot of what he'd taught himself. That style of dance is very stacato which maybe suited Michelle's ganglyness or maybe she's learnt to dance in the Bob Fosse style and can't unlearn it which is why she looks so stiff dancing ballroom and latin styles which need a lot more fluidity.
I do feel for Brendan he annoyed me sometimes but it's not nice circumstances to be in espeicially as he has to pull out of Strictly to do the right thing. It will be nice to see Ian back and having a different teacher might help give Michelle a different perspective on things which she badly needs. If she does have the tango she's in very good hands for that although Brendan's tangoes were always very good too.
