Red Bull - Does it work
Hi
Do drinks such as red bull actually work? I just tried it for the first time ever and don't feel any different let alone any more awake Thanks |

Relentless does it for me, but I never drink tea or coffee so it's hardly surprising I get a bit giddy from the caffiene. I only have it three or four times a year as well.

It works for me. Too much caffeine is also exteremly bad for you, and after a few red bulls I can feel it!

Downed six cans once to give it a try.
Did nothing for me. As it tastes vile, that was the last time I drank it. |

It does absolutely nothing to me - even after numerous cans.
I just like the taste of it

It does if you're actually doing something. If I was just sitting at my desk drinking it, I wouldn't feel any different. I drink it on nights out, or festivals but otherwise it's too full of sugar to drink regularly.
It's a good hangover cure though.

It does for me.
I used to use it to help me hit the ground running when going to work. I would have a can on the drive into work, by the time I got there I was wired (I don't drink coffee so it wa my equivalent). I don't do it anymore however. One time I drank the equivalent of 2 cans (had a bottle of Tesco own brand) and when I got to work my heart was all over the place and I thought I was going to keel over at any time. Aside from that, there's the crash when the effects wear off. These are worse than if you'd not had any at all. Now I only have the odd can when I really feel the need. So yes, for me it does work, a bit too much. Useful stuff though if you need to be wired for a short time. I took it before a job interview and it worked wonders - not like Spud in Trainspotting. |

I had three Red Bulls throughout one evening once and the only effect it had was that it made me incredibly twitchy, like i couldn't sit still. It wasnt very good at the time because I was trying to get an important paper done (which I did finish eventually..)
Wouldn't drink the stuff again if I had to pull an allnighter, but tbh the result of my essay was bad enough that I will probably never do an allnighter ever again. |

Never tried it so I don't know but some of my friends swear by it. I wonder if this is the stuff my Marketing lecturer drinks when she's hyper?

If you've an iPhone or Android you can test it out with heart rate app. Test your heart before. Down a few cans, wait 15 minutes and test to see if the caffeine has increased your heart rate!

Hardly works for me. I mean, I'm Italian so I drink like 3 shots of espresso's (which is a lot of caffeine) and then I have 2 cups of Nescafe and other energy drinks.
For me its only Espresso that works. |

It does something - it wasn't allowed to be sold in the air traffic control centre I worked in.
